Overview & Reviews
A convertible joins the PT Cruiser lineup for 2005.
- Distinctive styling inside and out, spacious cabin with multiconfigurable rear seats, smooth ride, spirited acceleration on turbo models, reasonable pricing.
- Acceleration can be sluggish with base engine, awkward seating position for shorter drivers, unimpressive fuel economy.

By Mike Venezia - June 16 - 10:20 pmcar was purchased as a dily driver in place of my 4 door truck, super to get around with, easy to park, great fun to drive, even with the turbo, I am seeing 21 mpg around town (lot better then the 12 with truck) easy to drive, good visability plenty of rear storage when I go to store or home center...love my high line leather interior...car is more than I hoped for!!!

Fun car to drive - 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser
By Ken Nemeth - June 3 - 5:06 amThis is a classy looking car that is fun to drive. The only drawback so far is the average gas mileage. You expect a small car like the Cruiser to have really good mileage and it does not. Still a great car to drive. It is a company car and I am looking forward to taking the trip in it to Florida. I love it ... wanted one from the day I first saw it.

Very cool cruiser to drive and own! - 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser
By Tilly - March 21 - 10:00 amWe are the PROUD owners of an inferno red PT cruiser GT turbo convertible! There is lots of leg room, my husband & I can sit in the back comfortably. There isnt anything I havent been able to fit into the car yet for storage. The turbo model has awesome pick-up! We live in the midwest, & will have to wait & see how it handles in the snow, the traction control is great so far in the rain. This is a very fun car to drive, & its very functional too. Havent paid much attention to the gas mileage, guess its about average with other cars weve had. The heated front seats will be very "cool" when winter arrives! Weve had the car just over 6months, & it still looks & feels brand new!

Turn the Corner / Turn the Heads - 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser
By Mahler - March 21 - 10:00 amI bought my Electric Blue Cruiser Convertible in May and after 5 months am still having the love afair. It handles and rides smoothly. The suspension gives a ride comparable to most big cars I have driven. The attention to detail and especially the top of the line convertible top make it a real pleaser. I still turn heads when I pull into a parking lot.

By ELAD - February 11 - 10:00 amI HAD A GT MUSTANG! BACK SURGERY FORCED ME TO SELL IT. I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH TURBO. CRUISING IN THIS GT MAKES ME FEEL YOUNGER THAN THE GT MUSTANG! GREAT LOOKING AND FUN TO DRIVE!

A Grown Womans Opinion - 2005 Chrysler PT Cruiser
By W. Robb - February 2 - 5:56 pmI love my red PT Cruiser. My husband & I own a bar & it suits both my business & personal needs. The ability to reconfigure the rear area from passenger seating, to dog transporter, to cargo areas make it PERFECT for me. I can afford most any auto made, but choose my PT Cruiser because its cute AND practical. Its nice to drive a car that does not look generic.
