Good car to own - 2001 Chrysler LHS
By White LHS owner - August 9 - 12:14 pmI have owned my 2001 LHS for slightly over a year now. Bought it with less than 25,000 miles now has close to 40,000. It has been a very reliable car. My wife and I appreciate the heated seats in the winter. Much quicker car than I would have expected. My only complaint is that there is little leg room in the front however I am 67", so that is not a common concern for most people. My wife (who is a normal height) is very comfortable. As mentioned in other reviews, interior noise is more than I would like, but it is not overwhelming. All in all, a very nice, comfortable, reliable car for a cheap (used) price. I would suggest finding a low mileage, well taken care of car.

A wonderful American car surprise! - 2000 Chrysler LHS
By Ted Price - July 25 - 1:56 pmI have had this car for 5 years. It has never let me down. I didnt need new brakes until 73,000 mi. I put a new battery in it (6 year old battery) mostly out of guilt, because there was no problem with the "original" six year old battery. The gas mileage is about 20 mpg in town (sometimes more). I bought it as a "winter car" to replace my Lexus but wound up keeping it. It had 18,000 miles on it when I bought it. Now has 85,000 and runs like a top.

Chrysler LHS - Wish they still made them - 2001 Chrysler LHS
By softcoal - January 29 - 2:39 pmBought this car new 6 years ago - have taken numerous trips in it, including a 6 week vacation with enough clothes for the whole trip - never a major problem - great comfort - lots of room in car and trunk. Chrysler luxury cars have all the features of the more expensive luxury cars at a lot smaller price. This is our fifth one, but now we are in a quandary because the 300 series is so ugly - If you find a used LHS to buy, get it!

Nice Car - 1997 Chrysler LHS
By Pj1165 - January 29 - 1:00 pmI bought my LHS 3 months ago and am very happy with it. The trunk could easily hold at least 4 bodies :) its huge! The back seat has more than enough leg room for any size passenger. This auto looks classy from inside and out, you would never know it was 10 yrs old from the design. Rides great, and definitely comfort was in mind when they designed the interior. The only thing I am finding wrong with this auto is the gas mileage, I average about 13 in town and 21 on the highway. This must be just my auto though because the other posts here say they get around 20 in town? This is one great looking auto and the ride is smooth and soft.

Second time around! - 1997 Chrysler LHS
By jimindetroit - December 7 - 11:49 amIn 97 I leased this car for two years and loved it. Ten cars later, I couldnt get this LHS out of my mind, so I bought one with 100,000 miles on it last month. New tires and $2500 in mechanical repairs made it just like I remembered it. Too much? Sure, but I LOVE THIS CAR! Its a dream to drive, the seats are comfortable, the cabin is huge and so are the moon roof and trunk. The styling is timeless. Recent British guests were amazed at this car and couldnt believe it was 10 years old. After driving a bunch of new utilitarian cookie-cutter cars the last eight years, Im finally happy again in my 1997 LHS.

Exceptional Concept / Sub-Par Execution - 1994 Chrysler LHS
By Chad - November 24 - 10:43 amI recently purchased this luxury vehicle in Sept 06 from a retired couple in Pittsburgh, PA. It was used only for church and supermarket trips (only 10,552 miles). Drove terrific at first until actual usage and commute driving became routine. After only 5K miles, started experiencing transmission shutters and poor engine performance. Interior has misc shakes/rattles and wheels are virtually impossible to keep clean. Interior comforts are fabulous and rich and fuel economy is suitable. I like the trunk space and overall exterior design with smooth ride. However after only 16K miles and many negative reviews, I am fearing major mechanical problems.

I will miss it - 1997 Chrysler LHS
By Randy - November 10 - 10:26 pmI had my LHS for about 7 years. I have had many cars over the years and I have to say that this Chrysler was my favorite. It had a great ride and was extremely comfortable. On top of this, the gas mileage was better than I or most people thought it would be. The car was reliable and I enjoyed driving it quite a bit. I had to give it up when the expenses to repair it were more that its value. Shouldnt complain....it had 221,000 miles on it at the end. It was a great car. Since Chrysler stopped making the LHS in 2001, I decided to find and buy one of those. The "new" one has big wheels to fill, but it looks promising.

2000 Chrysler LHS Ownership - 2000 Chrysler LHS
By Frank R. Hawkins - October 19 - 4:30 pmI purchased the car new and have had a very pleasant and satisfying ownership experience. With the exception of the replacement of an electric door lock actuator, I have had no problems with the car. The car performs well and the 3.5 litre, 250 horsepower engine has plenty of power and gets pretty good mileage. The car has a roomy interior and substantially more rear leg room than most cars, many of which cost substantially more. I can accomodate four men comfortably and get four sets of golf clubs in the large trunk. Try this with most other cars. Overall I have had a very good ownership experience with this 2000 Chrysler LHS.
