  • My Beloved 1994 Chrysler LHS - 1994 Chrysler LHS

I just bought this last month for only $1,100 with 121,229 miles on it. So far out of 51 cars Ive owned since 1986 (95% of them were Dodges, Chryslers & Plymouths) this is probably the best overall car I have ever had!! I have taken it on a couple long road trips and its a really smooth great car. Its amazing that such a big car can get such great gas mileage! About 18 MPG in town and about 31 MPG on the highway. So far it has needed new hood lifts from a junkyard for cheap, d.i.y. recharge the A/C with 134A which now blows very cold and replacing the console cup holders. I would highly recommend this car to anyone! This isnt the last, after this one I will buy another probably a 1997.

I have problems getting it started sometimes and over heat problems but other than that once it gets going its really good the heat and air control lcd goes out sometime but one thing that I do love is the infinity sound system its so loud and good and clear the mids and highs are good and the lows is Wonder with that amplifier to pump it up.

I bought it used in 2001. It has been a great car. The only thing besides routine maintenance was a driver’s side power window motor. Bought a new motor from NAPA for 65.00 and spent 45 min changing it. I have never gotten less than 22mpg and as high as 30mpg across New York. Highway average 28 and in town 23. It has almost 110,000mi and runs and looks like new. I got 50,000 out of the first 2 sets tires. I have not been back to the selling dealer for anything since I bought the car. It has been a much better car than either of my Honda accords were.

I woke up one day with my car sitting in the driveway. It started 3 times then the battery cables were shot. It had power surges before I had it fixed. The motor is really good only because I can fix the car when it breaks. The A/C leaks on the floor of the interior. Thats because of a blocked vent. Easy fix. The heater doesnt work at all and costs too much to have fixed.

My Chrysler has been such a reliable vehicle and the design is great. Even though it is now 9 years old, it does not look or feel like a dated car. It is the most comfortable ride - for driver and for passengers.

Bought in 1999 with 34K. Now has 130K. Water pumps,Thermostat, front end, and A/C problems. $1200 to fix A/C--so I didnt/haventt. Still great mileage, great room, great ride. Trunk and Interior are HUGE. I did lots of road miles, til last year. This is one great hi-way Cruiser. 27 mpg while cruising at 82 mph on Interstate.Handles fairly well. About 18-20 around town. Still looks pretty new at 14 yrs old.Love the leather seats, layout etc. ( Im over 6 ft) Stereo--Great Sounds. I also have 2 Mazda 626 5-spds. (25/34 mpg)(1995 & 1997) Id buy any of these vehicles again.

  • Sad to say good-bye - 2000 Chrysler LHS
    By -

Ive driven my LHS for 8 years. At a 131,000 miles it doesnt owe me a thing. I have loved this car and enjoyed the driving experience every time Ive gotten behind the wheel. The car handles like a dream in all kinds of weather and is a comfortable ride. We had some door lock issues and repairs you would expect after 131k miles but otherwise no repair issues. I could probably drive it another 50k miles but the deals on the 09 300C are just too good to pass up. Ill be saying good-bye to my LHS tomorrow when I turn it in for my new 300 hemi. The 300 is a great looking car but I must say the interior on my LHS offers more. Im hoping I will enjoy this new car as much as I have the LHS.

  • Chrysler LHS, good luxury sedan. - 1996 Chrysler LHS
    By -

Very pleased with this big luxury sedan, very good performance and comfort, huge trunk. If I could go out and buy a new one today,(April 9 2009),I would be down at the dealers right now. Surprisingly good fuel consumption for this large, powerful car, my long term fuel economy is 20.1 mpg over 105000 miles. mixed city and freeway driving. The power steering rack failed early, but was replaced under warranty by the dealer at no cost to me. The car went though a series of coolant pumps until we discovered that there was a design or manufacturing error in the timing belt tensioner mounting. Addition of a spacer (~0.25in thick) between the tensioner and the mounting flange cured the problem
