Stylish car, very responsive, and a fantastic ride.

...until my wife drove it. We absolutely enjoy this vehicle. Chrysler made the mistake to discontinue the name, LHS has more character than the sister car (although just as nice), the Concorde. It handles nice, rides wonderfully, has a great sound system. A great head turner...even had an 80+ year old lady comment on the chic style.

  • The engine just caught fire and died. - 1995 Chrysler LHS

I loved this car for the feeling of upmost luxury you had sitting in it. However it really was incredibly unreliable and expensive to maintain. We lost it at 149,000 miles after the fan broke down, and the engine caught fire on the freeway.

For the most part a good car with some reliability problems. Smooth ride with a cavernous interior and trunk. Decent handling at speed and in the parking lot. Small rear window can make backing up a challenge. Reliability problems started at 60K miles. Have had to replace water pump, air conditioner, steering rack, undercarriage bushings, cruise control and tie rods. Performance and mileage seem to be keeping up. Still getting 22-24 MPG around town, and 27-30 on the road.

I also own a 1997 Cadillac STS. The LHS has all the same equipment and options as the STS, except for the engin & suspension. The LHS is more comfortable, has more interior room, trunk room, and looks better. Overall I prefer the LHS over the STS.

  • LOTS OF ROOM AND COMFORT - 2001 Chrysler LHS

ONLY PROBLEM IS WITH CHROME TRIM ON WINDOWS. APPEAR TO BE MANUFACTURED WITH FINISH TARNISHED. CHRYSLER BACKED PARTS BUT TOOK PATIENCE WAITING FOR DELIVERY. LOTS OF ROOM IN FRONT AND BACK. CAR IS LOW TO GRD AND FRONT IS OFTEN TOO LOW FOR CURB HEIGHT. OVERALL LOVE CAR.

I would buy this car all over again if I had to. Its been a great vehicle and has served its purpose. I wish they would bring back the concept.

Had 93 Intrepid, LHS is smooth luxury, great styling curves, massive rear room All the buttons! Great gas mileage! 22/30. Tie Rods replaced AT 57k? cooling problems? FM quit at 60K. Appears to be Ltd. production 94-97. Overall a great car. After 7.5 yrs. can I wear it out? Bought 2nd 35K LHS original one owner for wife,$21000 ,discount over original purchase. A value? More later, Steve
