Too Many Break-downs and Costly Repairs - 1997 Chrysler LHS
By J.A.G. - February 19 - 2:00 amI picked up payments on my LHS from my father (who wanted a new 300M). He bought the LHS new & had no problems w/ it prior to my buying it w/ 32,000 miles on the car. It did great for a while but then.... the AC went out @ 62,000 miles. Then the water pump went out causing multiple other problems at ~72,000 miles. Then at ~ 90,000 miles my transmission went out. I have so much in the car now in repairs I dont know whether to keep it or trade it in and take a huge loss. Repairs alone have cost me at least $4,000.

review of LHS - 1997 Chrysler LHS
By dwight - February 14 - 2:00 amBought this car with 25k, in 2000 and have had excellent service from it. It had a couple of warranty items, but that is all. My only complaint has been it is difficult for me to get into, but so are all the sedans being made today. This one is the least difficult, as I am a very tall and large individual. I would have preferred a vehicle without the moon roof, as it takes away inches in headroom. The newer Chryslers are too low for me.

Great car for the money - 1997 Chrysler LHS
By bellmar - February 8 - 2:00 amBought this car used ( 1 yr. old ) for $19,000 in 1998. It has been a great car. Lots of room, plenty of pickup. The traction control and anti lock brakes are a plus. Only problem has been warped rotors which may have more to do with the wifes driving than the car. :) As long as you keep up the maintenance you should fare well with this car. Gas mileage is good for such a large car. If they still made this car I would consider buying one again.

Mechanical Junk - 1996 Chrysler LHS
By crushrocks - February 7 - 2:00 amThis is a comfortable car with good performance. However mechanically is leaves a lot to be desired. You name it and it has gone wrong on this car. The crowning event was went a frost plug on the engine started to leak. No big deal I thought until I was told that the transmission had to be dropped to get to it. I had this diagonisis confirmed before I had the work done. I wrote to Chrysler to see if I could get some compensation but they basically said "drop dead, it is out of warranty". This is the last Chrysler product I will ever buy.

Luxury of the LHS - 1994 Chrysler LHS
By Lotsagloss - January 14 - 2:00 amI purchased this vehicle in like new condition inside and out with 89K miles. The interior: Beautiful and amenities too numerous to mention. (Most new vehicles have the same upgrade options that this car has as standard equipment.)The seating is very spacious and the soft glove leather seats are very comfortable. LOTS of head and leg room. Exterior styling still seems current...no "boxy boat". The trunk is enormous...you could throw in a cot and rent it out!

Looks - 1999 Chrysler LHS
By Art H - January 13 - 2:00 amThe car looks great. I get comments all the time. Very confortable. Lots of trunk and interior space and fun to drive. Downfalls, Repair cost are very high, A/C condencer 1100.00 dol. Fan replacements 700.00 dol. and it vacates the a/c which you have to recharge. Bad design if you ask me. Electrical gliches with dash dimmer, flicker on its oun at times. Window switch work interminitly. Recommend get a good warrentty and keep it up to date as long as you own the car.

Potentially good car, many problems - 1995 Chrysler LHS
By mferneau - November 15 - 2:00 amPurchased new (left-over) and currently have 125K+ miles. All things considered, I have enjoyed this car. Repair history: Front suspension starting clunking at 3000m (replacement covered by warranty). Infinity CD quit around 40K miles. Company wouldnt fix/replace. Dealer stated "buy a new CD player, its cheaper." AC repaired twice. Front end clunking started again at 80K miles. Wiring harness melted at 120K miles ($2800 replacement on a car worth $2000.) Transmission now going, not willing to pay $3000 repair.
