  • Love It - 2000 Chrysler LHS

This is a big car that feels smaller when you drive it. It holds the road well and handles better than expected. The styling stands out and and looks as good today as it did when I bought it.

Excellence in driving, performance, comfort, styling and looks. However, it is a toss up as to what is flawed in an individual vehicle. Chrysler put out an expensive car, then walked away from any kind of responsibility to its obvious defects. Problem is, once you driven one you cant go back.

  • My first Chrysler: a Winner! - 1997 Chrysler LHS

We bought this May 1997 LHS as a used car in Sept. of 1999. We had retired and wanted to travel in comfort. This car has more than filled the bill. Only "troubles" have been waking up to a dead battery and waiting for rural road service for a flat tire. Oh, one minor nuisance is that the gasket on the passenger door occasionally slips off track. The car runs perfectly on regular gasoline. We have it serviced regularly at Dover Chrysler. Interior - and leather - is pristine. Exterior is gleaming and impressive. Always garaged. Our custom is to keep a car no longer than 8 years so we are reluctantly looking for a newer car.

  • Some problems but overall good - 1996 Chrysler LHS

This car has been a good car. I have 168,000 miles on it so far. Ive had to replace the transmission twice. Tranny seems to only last about 50,000 miles or so. Thats been the only major problem so far. Although bushings seem to be inferior quality.

  • Save extra for a new transmission - 2000 Chrysler LHS

I bought this car in the summer of 03 w/ an extended warranty. I had to take her in 5 or 6 times before the warranty (24,000 miles) expired for wheel bearing replacement, electronic malfunction, and brake pad problems. Im now at 63,000 miles and the gearbox is shot. The transmission shop tells me that it is common for this vehicles transmission to crap out after 50,000 miles. Ive never driven it hard, Ive always maintained the transmission with proper maintenance...and this is what I get. $1,500 for a new transmission. Start saving.

  • Better than a Park Avenue - 1999 Chrysler LHS
    By -

I bought the 1999 LHS in October 1999 and compared it to the Lincoln and Buick. The ugly Park Avenue was $6000 more with fewer amenities. The Trunk is cavernous and flat unlike the Lincoln. The ride is great. The sound system incredible. It is the best looking luxury car in the past 10 years. It is a wonderful highway car with plenty of power.

  • Great Car! - 2001 Chrysler LHS

This car is true luxury! I really love the spacious interior and the spacious cargo area. The ride is very comfortable with little outside noise. The audio controls on the steering wheel makes for easy control of music. My only complaint is that visibility at the back is limited by the high seatbacks and humped trunk. An excellent investment, however, and luxury at a relatively low cost.
