  • Car broke down in 4 days of having - 1998 Chrysler Concorde
    By -

I have owned this car for 4 days and it broke down on me. I do think this is a great car if you buy it from a reliable source. I think this car already had this major problem, and the dealer was dishonest. I bought this car as-is, but under the understanding that the car was running fine and didnt have any major problems. The economy is at it worst and you have people out there taking advantage of people trying to fill their pockets while someone else is left in the cold. I feel so used and hadnt been able to sleep behide this.

  • 2.7 Liter is troublesome - 2000 Chrysler Concorde
    By -

I bought this car May of 06 with only 31K miles on it. Thought I was getting a great value because of the low mileage. NOT! A few days after I drove it off the lot the cam sensors failed and the engine stopped running - leaving me stranded on side of road. It was repaired at a cost of approx. $400, plus the $90 tow. After that it was OK except that it burned oil. Now, at 69K miles the engine has blown! Im told it is a very common problem with the 2.7 liter V6 engine and Chrysler has a kit to repair it. Im told it will cost between $1000-$1700 to fix this problem. Although I love the looks of this car, it is not worth the trouble. It is comfortable to drive and has nice lines.V6 is junk!

  • Great car - 1997 Chrysler Concorde

I have had this car for about 2 years now. I was wrinkled my nose when I first saw it, then I drove it. Im not a fan of larger cars as a rule, but Id buy another one of these in a heartbeat. AT 187k shes still running strong. Everything works on this car, I feel safe driving it out here in Deerville. If I hit something Im not worried about dying. It handles beautifully, runs quietly and has a ride Ive only dreamed of. I hope it lasts me another 3 years at least. I know of another one of these around my home that currently has 264k miles on it. She too, loves her Concorde.

  • What a Nightmare - 2001 Chrysler Concorde
    By -

I purchased a pre-owned 2001 Chrysler Concorde LXi with a 3.2 L V6 engine. While we have all heard stories about the previous owner being an old lady that babied the car, in this case, I knew the owner and knew that to be the case. The car had been maintained by a local Chrysler dealership with 3,000 mile oil changes and had 42K at the time of my purchase. At around 50,000 the transmission welded itself solid, common problem with this model. Now at 75K it has major engine failure. What a piece of junk. Chrysler should be ashamed. And this is on top of the fact that the trunk supports are weak and the trunk constantly falls on your head when retrieving items from it. My first Chrysler & my last

  • One of my Best Cars - 2002 Chrysler Concorde
    By -

This has been one of the better cars I have owned. I get 28 MPG on the highway and around 21-22 mpg in the city. I have all the "bells and whistles" on it except for a moon roof. I maintain it on a regular basis and only have had the usual wear and tear like brakes and front end alignment. I hesitate to trade for an economy car as the mileage would not be that much better and I would sacrifice the ride and comfort.

  • Keep breaking down - 1999 Chrysler Concorde
    By -

I purchased my car on January 1 2001. I had a bad wheel alignment when i bought the car. The right wheel bearing let go about 1 month after. A few months later i was backing out of my driveway and the reverse let go, no reverse. Lucky I had a warranty. A garage rebuilt the transmission and it cost about $2300. Three years later the transmission let go but now the drive gear, back to the garage i go. They said that they had to rebuild it again another $2300, but i said forget it. Then the right and left power widows let go. The muffler had a small leak and that was $800 dollars because its a one piece stainless steel. I traded it for a new car, its worth $50 bucks now. scrap.

  • Stupid sensors - 2002 Chrysler Concorde

This is a very nice car, only had one major problem, the fuel pump. However I keep having issues with oil sending unit. The part is only $11.00 at local auto part stores, but I have go through 4 of them. They sending unit leaks little drops of oil or the doggone oil pressure light comes on and goes off. The trunk dont like to stay open some times too.

  • Good Family Car - 1993 Chrysler Concorde
    By -

The car had 33,000 miles on it. Today it has 157,000. Does not burn any oil. I use it to commute to work. A/c works good. I just love driving my car. Three of my grand kids have gotten their their driving permit while driving my Chrysler Concord. I painted the car five years ago. Looks great. Excellent second car.

  • 2003 Concorde LXi - 2003 Chrysler Concorde

Bought new, used as a sales vehicle, and kept it as the family sedan. Great ride and plenty of room makes it excellent for long road trips. Replaced wheel bearing under warranty, transmission cooler leak at 46K, new catalytic converter at 80K, other than that, rock-solid reliable. This car is a pleasure to drive and own

  • Love it at 1st - - Then the repairs came - 2002 Chrysler Concorde
    By -

I love the car when I 1st bought it (used). It only had 59K miles on it. I thought it was a steal. Perhaps 6 months after the purchase I know why. I started hearing rumbling/throttling noise that sounded internal. Smaller garages wouldnt touch the problem. No engine lights were on. I thought Chrysler would know what it was better then anyone. Theyre more expensive but they would know their car better than anyone. I had to replace the crank shaft at a cost of $3,100. I contacted Chrysler to see if they could help cover some of the cost since it only had 66K miles on it but they were no help. The dealer kept my car for 8 days with no loaner. Now the A/C is shot & the engine light is on!
