I bought this car used with the 3.5L engine in it in 2007 and since then I had no major problems with the vehicle other then the A/C which stopped working. It turned out to be a broken hose which cost me $275 to fix.Other than that ,do your general maintenance and the car will treat you right.Love the factory navigation unit it came with but updating the disc can be pricy if you get it from the dealer ($250).

Very dependable car with no large repair expenses, but I also do 90% of my own repairs. I love the 3.5 engine. Most issues after 60,000 miles, standard r/m in my opinion, except the poor quality paint. 30,000-40,000 miles change plugs. At 45,000 miles, replaced hood struts. 52,000, valve cover gaskets. 80,000 miles, EGR valve, solved drivability issue. Found spark plug tubes cylinder 2 & 4, not sealed at bottom, allow oil on top of plugs, removed tubes and applied RTV red sealant. Subframe bushings, sway bar struts, inner tie rod bushings at 90,000. For preventive maint, at 100,000, I replaced all 4 o2 sensors, fuel injectors, coil packs, wires and plugs. Easy car to work on for the DIY.

  • Dead Engine - 1999 Chrysler Concorde

Have loved this car for its size and comfort for many years, however have also lived with the problems for many years too! Bought in 1999 with 10,000 miles. Headlight grommets started coming off a long time ago, lived with it. Been hit on the head with the trunk after a few years, replaced lifts. Dash and lights have been flickering bright & dim for many years, figured it was not worth paying to have researched, so we have lived with that. Back and side windows stopped working a few years ago, lived with that, until my driver side completely died, put in over $1,000 last year to fix those, since the air died also. Now, now with no warning, the Engine just Died!

my car was a former rental fleet car. I love the cars performance. At 70 mph I can floor it and pass another car as if I had a rocket. Speed will be 90+ after getting around it. Love the hughe trunk as I can put wifes walker in and still have much room. Only cons are some repair costs, intake manifold leak, a/c pulley bearings going out, (57K miles, and fuel. 17 city & 24 hiway, but I am not a slow poke.

The 02 Concorde Limited is a TEN. Its a cross b/t a Lexus and a Jaguar. I have the 3.5 H.O. aluminum block Motor- brand new rebuilt. Fully loaded and Black - awesome. - I recommend a set of 235/55rs/17 GOODYEAR EAGLE RS Tires - the difference in the ride quality is absolutely stunning and amazing compared to any other brand Ive ever driven on.

  • Decent Car for the money - 1998 Chrysler Concorde

I bought my LXi wrecked with 29000 miles and rebuilt it. It now has 86000 and still runs great. At 10 years old, its showing its age. Comments: The 3.2 is a great engine. Could (and does)go to 150,000 if cared for. The 2.7 is horrible. Stay away at all costs. I agree with other posters: Gas mileage is very good ~25-27mpg for a big car. Car is huge inside. Things wear out on this car like any other (battery, air cond, brakes, waterpumps, etc.). Has an issue with the automatic air conditioning display. The display will quit displaying the temp, but the buttons, and control still function normally. To me, not a huge deal.

  • Owned 2 years so far - 2002 Chrysler Concorde

I have owned my concorde limited for 2 years almost and i would have to say it has been one of the best cars i have ever owned. After 2 years and buying it used the only thing that i have had to fix is one tire from running over a nail. Unfortunately the only thing that i could complain about is the trim piece on the hood that has started to weather and the glaze has started to peel off other than that the car is great.

  • Good Car - 1999 Chrysler Concorde

Bought this car used with only 30K and it has been great. The gas mileage is the best. Not much power but I can get 340 miles before the low fuel light comes on. Great when gas prices go up and down. Has the smaller 2.7 liter but Ice cold A/C. OH, and the trunk space is even better. I hope this car can last me. No complaints here.

  • A great car... with medicore reliability - 1997 Chrysler Concorde
    By -

I bought the car new. I now have 115k miles on it. I like the car overall, but I wish my experience were as perfect as some other posters. The car has not been a lemon, but has required several repairs that I would not expect to have needed on a Honda or Toyota in the same time frame (or on a Ford or GM for that matter): Replaced warped front brake rotors twice (and I am easy on brakes), replaced water pump twice, replaced power steering pump, replaced front tie-rods, replaced transmission support cradle, recharged AC twice.
