This car is awesome, the best Ive seen. - 1996 Chrysler Concorde
By Rob - March 10 - 3:27 pmIve had this car since 2000. It has been the best car that my family and I have ever owned. We have had no prblems except with the suspension. But we didnt have any problems with it until around 150000 miles. It is fun to drive, and everything. And insurance is low. AC is the best, ice cold, and the heat is like sitting in a sauna. I would recommend this car to everyone. It is my first car and I cant say that I wouldof wrather had a better car for the price range. It was cheap. My overall view of the car is a cheap, reliable, and stylish car to drive.

Engine Failure - 2000 Chrysler Concorde
By LarryG - March 5 - 3:06 amI purchased this vehicle new in December 2000. The car performed well until Feruary of 2005 when at 98,000 miles, the motor began making a noise and the oil light came on. Diagnostic tests revealed that the engine was destroyed due to oil starvation from oil sludge. The vehicle would require a replacement of the 2.7 liter engine. Faced with this option I decided to replace the car. Research over the past few weeks has revealed that the Chrysler 2.7 liter engine appears to have many problems. I would seriously recommend that anyone purchasing this vehicle type with tis motor, perform a in-depth check of the engine.

2.7 will fail - 2000 Chrysler Concorde
By John Durbin - March 2 - 9:25 amWe bought this car new and we loved it. The first 120,000 miles we had no problems at all. Then the door locks started to make a bad noise when you use them. Then the engine blew. We have found out that about 2/3 of all the 2.7L engines have blown and there might be a class action suite against Chrysler. If you do get a Concorde DO NOT get the 2.7L engine. I know of engines failing anywhere from 15,000 on up. We have had a few Chrysler vehicles in the past but I will never buy another one again, it is a shame because I have a relative who works for them.

pretty good car - 1996 Chrysler Concorde
By frmr SuperTurbo drvr - February 20 - 5:03 amI bought the 96 Concorde LXi to replace my old Supra Turbo because my little boy is getting bigger. The car has pretty good performance consider its size. Ive driven it for 30000 miles since I got it and replaced: rack & pinion, rear break rotor and pads, front brake pads, four tires, rear struts and thats it. For its mileage and age, I would say it is pretty reliable. Engine is still smooth and powerful. All features work. Pretty good car.

Big car with sports car feel - 2004 Chrysler Concorde
By Peter Verrill - December 20 - 11:12 pmI needed a fast, quick car with a huge back seat and a huge trunk and I found it in the last of the Concordes. I owned an Intrepid for the past 6 years and certainly moved up in luxury with this model without sacrificing the interior room. The engine is more powerful although not noticable the first few thousand miles. The Limited edition featured many items I would not have purchased but now I probably couldnt have lived without. Heated seats in Florida? You bet...for a few days a year!

Looks and size matter but no Toyota - 1999 Chrysler Concorde
By California Bob - December 9 - 4:46 amBought it new for wife. Told her Toyota Avalon would be more reliable with better resale but she would not have it. Bought a gold LXI pretty much on looks and size. Dodge Intrepid was sportier but since we were expecting a child, trunk opening made the difference. Minivans at the time required removal of last seat to put anything more than a few grocery bags in... forget about it! Mostly pleased @6 years /36k miles but is no Toyota in terms of reliability or resale. Same problems you see others write about: transmission speed sensors (my dealer GOT ME for $800!) rubber grommets around headlights power lock failures 3 recalls (seat belt bolt, seat back bolt, shifter)

Great car - 2004 Chrysler Concorde
By bayerkohler - November 30 - 3:12 amThis car performs great. Great seats on a 800 mile trip but not as comfortable as my wifes 2003 PT Dream Cruiser, nor near the performance. Over all a great car
