Reason for Lemon Laws - 2001 Chrysler Concorde
By Old guy - July 5 - 9:33 amI previously owned a 96 Concorde with 3.3 L engine a great car. We bought this car used, with the 2.7 L engine. The engine selfdestructed at less than 52,000 miles due to the timing chain problem. There are many web sites detailing this problem with this engine. Chrysler denies any help. Changing the headlamp bulb requires removing the front fascia!

Just not for me? - 1996 Chrysler Concorde
By ashley - June 17 - 12:33 amI have had my Concord for almost a yr now. My dad bought it for me it hopes it would be a good school car. The first night I had it, it had an oil leak my dad easily fixed it. I like it but its not the greatest on gas. And its a little big for me. Other wise great car. I just need something more fuel economy because I will be driving a lot because of college.

A sinking ship - 2000 Chrysler Concorde
By Midwest Mom - June 15 - 7:38 amI bought this car used 3 1/2 years ago with 65,000 miles on it. I loved it for the first year, then the air conditioner stopped working, $1000 repair. The weather stripping around the doors is too small and had to be replaced. Another year later the door locks began making a horrible sound. Another year and a half later and the 2.7 L engine is trash, despite regular maintenance and religious oil changes every 3000 miles. This car does not even have 100,000 miles on it. I cant afford the $4000 repair, and many shops wont even work on this engine because they dont want to warranty it. Best offer Ive had for the car is $50 after tow cost. I feel like Ive been lied to and ripped off.

Great Car. Why Buy Import Luxury? - 2000 Chrysler Concorde
By buyamericanonly - June 7 - 9:24 amI have had my car for almost a year. Purchased it used with 57k on it. This car has all the bells and whistles as the more expensive import cars but half the price. The 3.2 engine is very strong but I still get mid 20s on the gas mileage. It is very comfortable on the inside and plenty of room. The trunk is so big "You can fit 5 bodies in there." The only problem I have had is having to replace the weather stripping due to shrinkage and the headlights filmed over a little. There is no reason to purchase a more expensive import car when these cars are half the price and just as reliable. Take it from me I am a sales manager at an import dealership. Just follow the scheduled maintenance.

Not bad - 1999 Chrysler Concorde
By My 99 - June 2 - 5:07 pmFirst owner was an elderly man who passed away and the family did not drive for several years. Since I have had it, I put 10K on it so far and it has been great. Just wish it had more passing power when I travel, but the gas mileage makes up for it. Able to get to PHX to Las Vegas on just a little under half tank. Not bad for a sedan this size. Tons of leg room. No problems so far at almost 40K. Hope it keeps up the good work.

Poor Investment - 2000 Chrysler Concorde
By bowman271 - May 30 - 11:27 pmI bought this vehicle with 78,000 miles. Aside from the door weather stripping problems this seemed to be a great car. Then at 102,000 the check engine light came on. I was told by Chrysler that the engine was known for trapping oil in the upper engine causing excessive oil sludge. This was the cause of my problems and because of this I had to replace the crank shaft sensor and another I cant name at the moment costing me $650.00. I was also told by Chrysler that I would need a rebuild in the near future witch would cost me $6 ,000-$7,000. This apparently is an existing problem since 1997 with the 2.7 lt engine. I will never buy a Chrysler again. Very, Very disappointed!

Its a Keeper - 2002 Chrysler Concorde
By happyowner - May 28 - 7:38 pmThis is my second Concorde. I like its style and my previous experience with the same model and my local dealership made me hardly consider any other car. Im never embarrassed to give someone a ride, always enjoy its comfort on long trips, yet get good enough gas mileage to drive by myself. Ill drive it to 200,000.

2.7 litre engine stinks on 98 Concorde - 1998 Chrysler Concorde
By Pamalama - May 26 - 3:07 pmI loved my Concorde and would never have dreamed that 2 years after I purchased it and paid off a $9,000.00 dollar loan I wouldnt be driving it anymore. The engine blew unexpectedly. I have heard so many people now say that the 2.7 engine stinks and the car engine was not built correctly. I cant believe Chrysler has not opted to help the customer out and recall these cars because of this, I work hard for my money and now have to sink my money into another car. Do not buy a Chrysler Concorde with a 2.7 engine, they stink.

Just telling it how it is - 2000 Chrysler Concorde
By Rell - May 24 - 11:29 amI purchased my Concorde in 2006. Id been looking for one for over 6 months. When I found this one it rode out smooth, everything worked and it had 121,000 miles on it. Ive since had it for almost three years and with it being used Ive loved having it. Ive never had to fix it, I used high mileage oil for performance and keep all my fluids changed as suggested. I love my Concorde.

1998 Chrysler Concorde 4 Dr LXi Sedan - 1998 Chrysler Concorde
By Dusty - May 5 - 1:35 amI purchased the Concorde used but with low mileage. It has been an excellent vehicle and joy to drive. The 3.2 v-6 has ran great. One tune up at 98,000 miles and the use of Amsoil syn 10x30 has had the engine getting excellent mileage and no problems. The only problem was the power steering unit that went bad twice and was replaced under warranty at around 60,000 miles. I had purchased an extended warranty. My son has the vehicle now and it has 115,000 miles and running great.
