  • A Really Great Value - 1998 Chrysler Cirrus

I love this car! Its 5 years old now with over 97,000 miles on it and it still running fine. Only minor things have been happening recently...headlights going out, lamp in control area replaced, and just fixed a trans leak. Not bad for all those miles! Have had lots of complements on the car. Very roomy and fun to drive, and very reliable.

  • Luxury for very little - 1996 Chrysler Cirrus

The leather interior feels luxurious as do the comfortable seats. Mine is black ext. tan int. and it looks great! I love how it looks ageless. Its 8 yrs old and still fits in with the new crowd. I enjoy having a V6 and would never consider getting anything but. Ive had a good time with the car, except for the AC problems. In 03, I had to replace the whole unit for $1200, and now its broken again. I have had electrical problems also.

I bought this car new. It has been very reliable. I now have 129000 miles on it. Be careful about transmission fluid on this vehicle. You MUST use Chrysler transmission fluid, or you will damage the transmission. The manual warns of this, and they arent kidding.

It was my first time "NEW" car purchase. I do not regret the selection at all!

  • Gets the job done. - 1997 Chrysler Cirrus

I like my car it gets me around, plenty of space moving back and forth from School, and its quick when it has to be. Performance wise its sound it holds up well in the city and on the highway. Maintance is a different story. My biggest complint behind the safety reports are the breaks, which need to be relpaced every year(front and rear). So it tends to be an expencive car, on top of the regular maintenance. Other then that its fine for a first car, but i cant recomend it.

Comfortable responsive car. Bit noisy, both exhaust noise (probably intentional) and wind noise (really crummy window fit) quite noticeable, along with elevated road noise. Sound system works OK, but sound disappointing. While from a reliability standpoint this is one of Chryslers more trouble free models, even so you will need to budget more money for repairs. Tires make a BIG difference in handling. Eats front brake pads.

  • Glad they aborted this series - 2000 Chrysler Cirrus

Look out. Brakes are forever needing replacement. The transmission is always a problem. If you own one now, get rid of it before she exhausts all of your savings. This was the first time I had ever bought domestic, and it has ruined my belief in American automobile engineering. All current owners of this money pit should get a full refund from Chrysler with compensation for the stress involved.

  • Great car for the money - 1997 Chrysler Cirrus

Bought it new and have had virtually no problems (just brakes etc) in 100,000 miles. Very roomy and comfortable, no complaints.

  • love the car - 1999 Chrysler Cirrus

Ive got 90,000 miles on it and it still runs great- only problem I dont like is the back end creaks in really cold weather.

  • Best car weve owned! - 1997 Chrysler Cirrus

The Cirrus LXI has been one of the nicest cars weve ever owned. Weve had relatively few problems with it, other than a few quirky issues around 50k. (the cruise control and the keyless entry had to be "reset" by the dealer). As I recall, we also had to have the water pump replaced, which seems to be a common problem.
