Ive heard people say stuff about this car but I like it it looks nice and drives good. I wish they still made this car. I just would like it to have better gas mileage

  • Great car if you can stand the ride. - 1998 Chrysler Cirrus

This is a great looking car, very reliable, fun to drive, easy to maintain and a great car for the money. The downside, it rides like a truck, you feel every bump in the road and you will have to utilize the radio to drown out the wind and road noise. Will I keep the car long term, without question considering the cost of new cars.

I love my car but there is always something else I have to change. My brakes get changed annually and the whole front end is replaced too. Now the damn thing wont start! Theres always something to do

  • great car if u can afford the gas - 1997 Chrysler Cirrus

I havent had the car that long and only put maybe 6,000 on it over the last 2-3 months I had it. Not sure because the tack (or whatever the thing that tracks mileage is) doesnt always work. The inside is well designed and roomy. Has cup holder issues. Great stereo, lots of bass for stock. It got me to school everyday and so far to work everyday. Not something you wanna drive from Michigan to Florida because of the gas

  • Good overall everyday car - 1999 Chrysler Cirrus

Have had this vehicle from dealer, it has been a very good car. It has had the water pump replaced, the transmission gaskets replaced twice but all under warranty. It is now burning some oil but I have 74000 miles on it, we dont drive it very much. After the initial problems worked out it has been reliable. We loved the sportiness of the vehicle, it looks very sharp with the alloy wheels. I would recommend this car to anyone. The cup holders in the back are poorly designed and needs more room in the middle compartment(ours broke). It has a lot of power for a V-6 also which has been nice to have when needed on the highway. Overall a 9.

  • Why buy Japanese? - 1997 Chrysler Cirrus

This vehicle has been in the shop once in 11 years for a minor repair other than normal service. I have consistently gotton 28 to 30 mpg and it handles as well as most sports cars. I have driven everything with 4 to 18 wheels and cannot understand paying 30 to 45 thousand for bells and whistles when this car can still be purchased in the low 20s.

  • Fun Car with only a few Quirks... - 2000 Chrysler Cirrus

This car is a blast to drive. The 2.5L V6 is a little sluggish to get going, but once youre moving, mash the gas and prepare for some fun. The gearing is very low in this car, so even in overdrive, the engine is in its powerband. Just keep in mind that this hurts fuel economy (I average 28mpg with a 75/25 city/highway split). The seats are not comfortable for long trips due to a lack of padding. The interior is plasticky and cheap looking/feeling. Ive had issue with tie rods and strut mounts giving way prematurely. Tires make a large difference in ride quality. Car is still going strong at 150,000 miles.

  • Alright so far - 1997 Chrysler Cirrus

Just bought this car and had to replace the ball joints, and needs brakes. I like the body style and interior. I am concerned with some of the reviews, I have never had a problem with any Chryslers I have ever owned, hopefully this one wont disappoint me!

  • Good car overall - 2000 Chrysler Cirrus

I have over 157,000 miles on it and it still runs great and the AC is ice cold. I bought the car new in 2000 and like many went through brakes quickly. I had to replace brakes and rotors before 30,000 miles. Rust appeared on the hood lip within two years, but was out of warranty for miles. There was a recall on the power steering hose mine blew a year before the recall. I will be giving the car to my son soon and expect it to last a couple of more years.
