Great for the $$$$ - 1998 Chrysler Cirrus
By DanMan!!! - April 18 - 2:00 amThe car has a solid engine and is nicely appointed overall. The vehicle handles well, accelerates decently, and is fairly comfortable. It has needed no work beyond the normal brakes, tune- up, etc. The car has been in the family since new, and now I have got it to replace my 98 Neon. A switch that was a definate step up.

5 Years, No Problems - 1998 Chrysler Cirrus
By stevef-DC - April 17 - 2:00 amI was a little nearvous when I bought this car in 98. I had only had Accords and questioned the realibility of American cars. I really liked the aggressive look of the Cirrus front end. Plus, I got a lot more for my money with the Cirrus than I would have with an Accord. At 57000 miles, I have had no problems at all. I am mainly a city driver. The car is louder than some others, but I often have the Infinnity stereo pretty loud so I donlt notice the road noise. My only complaint with my Chrysler experience is the dealer service. Ive been to two dealers and theyre both crooks. Chrysler really needs to reign these guys in if they want keep customers.

unexcited - 1998 Chrysler Cirrus
By Braxt828 - April 14 - 2:00 amThis is my 3rd Chrysler vehicle. Also the one I am least impressed with. We have had several problems that the dealer has yet to repair. The drivers seat rocks back and forth, and cant seem to be tightened. Air/driving noise is almost unbearable. And dont ever ask me to ride in the back seat again. I had a backache for a week! I never was comfortable with the headlights but thought it was just me until I heard of Consumer Reports review. Cost of changing the spark plugs was quite high and we still havent found a good windshield wiper. I have been loyal to Chrysler until this car.

Nice but..... - 1999 Chrysler Cirrus
By PartiotsBuyAmerican - March 29 - 2:00 amHad some problems with power-steering, needed new pump or rack (dealer couldnt pinpoint problem) I find the steering still to heavy. Also find the LXi suspension too stiff. the front brakes seems to be rotated every 10.000 mls.

Great and Cheap - 1997 Chrysler Cirrus
By Terry Smith - March 18 - 2:00 amThis car has great looks and a powerful V6 engine that will last you for a long time if you give it some maintnance. The only problem I had with this car was the water pump.

Hire some engineers 4 crying out loud - 1997 Chrysler Cirrus
By tgjr - March 15 - 2:00 amThe body and interior are great. The mechanical layout and design quality are terrible! Service perfomed in the first 100K miles... Replaced transmission servo-valve package due to leaks. Research has shown that this is a common issue for this Chysler transmission. Replaced front axle Replaced water pump Replaced timing belt (when will manufacturers stop burying a limited life component deep inside the engine?!? Duh!!! Other normal wear items (brakes, etc.)

Terrific car! - 1996 Chrysler Cirrus
By A Brown - March 5 - 2:00 amI have had nothing but good driving from this car. It is zippy and fun, yet roomy enough and with features which allow haulage of larger items. Great!

Just Average - 1995 Chrysler Cirrus
By morsborn - March 4 - 2:00 amWeve it for a couple years. Wife loves it, to me its just OK. We too had a shift problem hung in 2nd. A leaky water pump, dripping on a sensor. Took months to find. PS had a small leak. Some trouble with electrics. Radio sucks. Replaced under a bulletin and new one lasted less than a month. Tach, LR door lock and elec window fail intermittently. The ride is a little harsh for a "luxury" car. But I like that part. It is certainly no lemon, but no better than average. Our experience is better than average on reliability. Big complaint: resale-no one wants it. Over 50% drop in 2 yr.

I love my Cirrus - 1999 Chrysler Cirrus
By Smitty615 - March 3 - 2:00 amOn the whole, I love this car.The only problems I have had have been the sun roof getting locked up whenit was open, and having the front seat bolts come loose, causing the seat the wobble. Both occurred while car was still under warranty. Driving the car is a pleasure, though I do not get the gas mileage others have reported.

never buy a chysler cirrus - 1995 Chrysler Cirrus
By brokedowncys - February 19 - 2:00 amI bought my cirrus at 32,000 mi. The dealer wouldnt come down on the price, but I loved it (the look of it) so much I didnt care. Ive learned a huge lesson!!! The exterior is beautiful, but the mechanics of this car suck!! I had to replace the transmission soon after I bought it! It was in the shop all the time!! The front end was a mess! cv joints always gave me problems. Dont judge a car by its cover!! Now its broke down and I still owe $5000 to my bank!! Im currently looking for a reliable car!!!
