253 HP 254 TORKE IS ENOGH TO BIT ANY OTHER SEDAN IN THE STREET LIKE HONDA ACCORD , LEXUS IS300, TOYOTA CAMRY ETC. I KNOW CHRYSLER DO NOT HAVE THE BEST RECORD IN CARS HISTORY. BUT THIS TIME IS DIFERENT. THANKS TO MERCEDES TO BE PART OF CHRYSLER NOW CHRYSLER IS ONE OF THE BEST CARS IN THE STREET ONE OF THE MOST ATRACTIVE CARS AND FUTURISTIC STYLE IN THE MARKET. THE 300M IS AMAZING. GOT EVERYTHING, POWER, COMFORT,LUXURY, QUALITY AND SEXY. THANKS DAIMLER BENZ TO BE PART OF CHRYSLER CORP. AND MAKE THE 300M THE BEST OF THE BEST.

  • Would Not Buy Another One! - 1999 Chrysler 300M

I bought my 300M in Feb. 2002. I have replaced 2 window motors and am getting ready to replace one of the ones that I got fixed again. The speed sensor has gone out of the vehicle. The wheel weights had to be replaced because they were not the right ones for my tires and the air kept leaking out. The bearings in the front seem to be going out. The airconditioning went out and I have had it charged repeatedly. The dealership says the next step is to take the dash out to fix the problem. The lowest estimated cost for that is $900.00! What is appealing from the outside is a total nightmare once you get in it!

  • A Big Risk - 1999 Chrysler 300M

I was not inclined to buy American but the exterior looks/style won me over. This car, just like most Chryslers, is a piece of junk. After 4 months of ownership i have invested over 3k into it (Enigne fans (2x), rotors, Front wheel barings!!!, multiple sensors, break pads) Ive invested so much that im reluctant to sell it. If Chrysler worked out the mechanical problems on this car, it would be a class leader and as far as i know they havent so BEWARE!!!

Great car, great looks, great performance, over 24mpg

  • Poor quality car - 1999 Chrysler 300M

All of my power windows had to be changed out due to motor breaking. Had problems with air system, car broke overheated and had to change compressor at 40K miles. 50k miles the stearing has major problems. Standard Goodyear tires that come with the car do not last very long with normal driving conditions at best 25K miles. I suggest everyone who considers buying this car get a extended bumper to bumper warranty to cover all the problems

  • Good enough to buy another - 1999 Chrysler 300M

I had good luck with my 99 300M. I replaced all 4 window motors once, but had no other electrical problems. I just traded up to a 2003 300M.

  • after 48,000 miles......... - 1999 Chrysler 300M

I bought my 300M as a new demo and although it has modest mileage now it has performed far above what many have come to expect from a domestic vehicle. Thanks to reviewing Edmunds early on I knew to take the car back to the dealer at the first sign of problem with the electric windows and eventually had all four replaced under warranty. Otherwise the car has performed flawlessly and after downsizing from a Suburban it has far exceeded my expectations for a combination of size/performance/economy.
