Great! - 1999 Chrysler 300M
By dok1300 - August 19 - 2:00 amHave had very few problems, and now have 62K miles on it. Only problem so far is the speed sensor, it cost $161 to replace. I have read about the power window problem, have had no problem there, but can hardly wait my turn! Car has a great trunk, back seat room, handles great for a large car, pep is exceptional. It has an annoying problem with road noise. While it is a fixable problem Chrysler choses not to worry about it. (The road/wind noise was MUCH worse on my 1993 LTS, if you can imagine that!) Maybe by my next one.....they will have committed to the wind/road noise thing.

Best American design - 1999 Chrysler 300M
By Louie Ett - August 16 - 2:00 amI mostly agree how you rate this car, but I believe having driven several of the competition cars, that it is better than most, interior quality and definetely better looking. Especially compared to the boring Japanese makes. Reliability is exellent, after 95000 mls, only oil and wear parts. Besides a sensor on the electronic auto transmission, (warranty) where the car was driveable but stayed in 2nd gear,(E- program) I had no problems. The gas mileage is better than on a 2002 Passat V6 and with quite more bang. Unable to find an European edition at the time my only critic is it could brake better.

Great car but quirky - 1999 Chrysler 300M
By AWarrick - August 15 - 2:00 amMy 99 300M has been pretty good so far. Ive had my door window motor replaced and theres a distinct creaking in the front end, which goes away after the dealer lubes it but it returns within weeks. Ive had a lot of problems with front end shaking while braking from highway speeds and have had the brakes and rotors done with no change in the problem. I strongely suggest a nose bra for you highway drivers like me. I love the power and the upgraded stereo was worth the extra money. The gas mileage has been better than expected for a large car and Ive been averaging around 23mpg. I only run 93 octane as the engine knocks at 89 and 87.

the best - 1999 Chrysler 300M
By rcoffey - August 13 - 2:00 amthe only thing wrong with this car is the cheap goodyear tires that came with it. They are noisy as can be. Replace them and the road noise goes away. I have 45000+ miles and only oil changes!

I got a very good one - 1999 Chrysler 300M
By FT - August 13 - 2:00 amThis has been the best vehicle I have ever owned (28 years ownership experience). Its attractive and fun to drive and holds 5 comfortably. It handles great, gets super gas mileage for its size. 40K miles on original brakes and tires so far. Very few problems with car - driver side window motor switch and a minor transmission issue - all under warranty.

Great Car - 2002 Chrysler 300M
By RonCT - August 8 - 2:00 amAm former 3-time Ford Taurus owner. Due to Fords recent quality decline, looked at other cars. Test drove Buick, Acura, Pontiac, and BMW. This had good rating and dealership offered great price. Have driven for 2 months now. It is joy to drive, handles well, lots of power when you need it. Looking back, this was the best value.

First Chrysler - 1999 Chrysler 300M
By bleach - August 4 - 2:00 amGreat looking vehicle, gets plenty of nods. I was filling up at a gas station and had someone pull in just to tell me they loved the car. Reliability and strange qwerks are a concern

Cant Beat It! (for the price) - 2000 Chrysler 300M
By Darian A E - August 3 - 2:00 amI evaluated the competition first: Lexus ES300/Lincoln LS/Olds Aurora/Acura TL/Nissan Maxima. With incentives, I got a loaded 300M for $25900. Of the competitors, only Acura handled as well, but for $6500 more, & cloaked in boring sheet metal. The 300M is gorgeous inside & out & handles/accelerates aggressively. It has been quite reliable, & the dealer is generally helpful. Both front & back seats are the most comfortable places to sit I own, yet provide ample support for tire-screeching, scare-the-baby hairpin turns common in the Rockies. If you dont believe me, rent it on a 3- day roadtrip & see for yourself.
