This Year's Model Updates:

The 2005 Chrysler 300 is an all-new, rear-wheel-drive flagship sedan; it replaces the Concorde and 300M. In a clear move away from the cab-forward design theme Chrysler championed in the 1990s, the 300 represents the company's bold new direction and makes use of plenty of Mercedes-Benz technology. Available features include Chrysler's Hemi V8, stability control, side curtain airbags and, later in the year, all-wheel drive.

Pros:
  • Chiseled and masculine good looks, powerful V8 in 300C model, long list of safety features, plenty of luxury and performance for the price paid.
Cons:
  • Sluggish acceleration with base V6, limited transmission choices, complex stereo controls.

  • #2 and still loving it - 2005 Chrysler 300

Purchased a 300 touring in May 04 best car i ever owned. Traded in Dec for a fully loaded 300C. I am amazed at the power of the hemi this feels even more stable than the other. Love all options, love the stereo. This car will make you want to drive all the time. I have always owned American cars mostly Fords this is the best car on the street Chrysler should be very proud. This car turns heads and meets the driving needs of the american public. Do yourself a favor if you are in the market for a new car you gotta check this car out.

Great car ! Its big fast and corners like a much smaller car . What more could you want out of a car?

  • Poor gas mileage - 2005 Chrysler 300
    By -

While the 300C is a great vehicle, the only real complaint is the lack of gas mileage any where near that stated in the literature. Combined mileage for 6 Months averaged 16 MPG with travel being 60% highway and 40% city. Even the dealer knew what my complaint would be when I took the car in for routine service. Other than that, only minor electrical problems at delivery due to a shorted cable connector in the truck.

  • This is one FINE vehicle. - 2005 Chrysler 300

This car is the one you want to drive. It handles like a luxury vehicle. It feels like a luxury vehicle. And yes, it looks better than any other luxury vehicle on the road. The inside of the cockpit is ultra roomy. The leather seats are the most comfortable I have been in. The V6 has as much power as Ill ever need - it will knock you back in your seat easily. If there is one weakness, the brakes seem to lag a little but then again this is a large luxury vehicle and Im not used to driving it! I found a demo model (4700 miles) that the dealer was willing to deal on.

  • 300 C: What a car should be - 2005 Chrysler 300

Its fast, smooth, powerful and light on its feet. Best steering I have ever had in a car. Brakes are tight and consistent. The Hemi makes nice noises when pushed and the cars acceleration will bring a smile to your face every time. The interior is quiet, functional and loaded with fun gadgets (that really work!). Overall, the best car that Ive ever owned. I find myself looking for excuses to drive it.

  • Nice Car All Around - 2005 Chrysler 300

I was looking to replace our 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis and was seriously considering a 2005 Mercury Montego(the Ford 500 twin)and on the way home from that test drive we dropped in our Chrysler dealer and took out a Black 2005 300 Touring. Needless to say for roughly the same price the 300 is miles ahead of the Mercury, and we bought the 300 right then and there. It is a very nice car. It performs very well, is roomy and I enjoy driving it. We took it on a 400+mile trip and it was a great ride all the way. I recommend it 100%

  • Better than my Jaguar - 2005 Chrysler 300
    By -

I bought the 300C as my run around and to work vehicle. It has become my primary vehicle for all trips. The ride is excellent and the gas mileage is okay. I actually enjoy it more than my Jaguar XJ8. I will not buy another Jaguar as long as the 300C is available. My wife is planning to trade her 1999 Jaguar XJ8 to get her a green 300C. By the way, my 300C is blue and people, even stopped at traffic lights, are telling me how great it looks. My surprise is that the ride is actually better than the looks.

It is a beautiful looking car. I am disappointed with it however and it is the little things that are adding up - My ride is not as quiet as it is being advertised and dealer does not offer any suggestions other than that it will be different than my previous vehicle. I feel like I am in the cabin of an airplane. I am also having electronic problems - various lights on the dash come on and off- parking brake, traction system. (It does not happen when brought to dealer)

  • Way To Go ! - 2005 Chrysler 300
