Overview & Reviews
No significant changes for the 2006 Chrysler 300.
- Chiseled and masculine good looks, powerful V8 in 300C model, long list of safety features, plenty of luxury and performance for the price paid.
- Sluggish acceleration with base V6, limited transmission choices, poor visibility for shorter drivers.

Bad Transmission - 2006 Chrysler 300
By scropionmanager - October 18 - 12:44 pmI am was very excited about my 300 but that excitement has diminished. My car has been to the dealership 5 times since July, the first four times was because of fuel problems and I was told to but a higher octane gas, still had problems until the 4th time when I had to have the throttle body decarbonized because of the poor advice from the 1st visit. Now the transmission needs to be replaced because it was low on transmission fluid for too long. Note you can not check check the fluid the dealership has to this. My question is why wasnt this check the 1st four times I went in. The warranty is gone and now I need to spend $2900 in addition to the $700 already spent in a 2 yr old car.

great - 2006 Chrysler 300
By donnie - September 21 - 1:03 pmi love the car. the only thing i dont like is the wear on the tires and rims along with the alignment issues. it also gets very poor gas mileage, not to mention the upkeep on the car is insane ($).

2006 300-C - 2006 Chrysler 300
By Jeff Medved - September 6 - 6:23 amExceptionally unique styling. Overall quality is suberb. Having driven Lincolns for the past couple decades, I never imagined myself in a Chrysler. But nearly everything about this car (in the C model) is exceptional, and in a class with its parent Dailmer products. There are more electronic/power options on this car than you can shake a stick at, so I recommend a long term bumper-2-bumper 5007+ warranty if you buy the car, for peace of mind. Probably the nicest new car I have purchased ever.

300 c - 2006 Chrysler 300
By warren mcdavid - June 7 - 10:36 pmso far no problems with vehicle. really loves the way it handles, adapts to the road, and with fuel prices the way they are saves me a little at the pump.

Accident Problems? - 2006 Chrysler 300
By Steve - May 26 - 8:46 pmLove my 06 300C but recently had a freak problem with only 22K miles on the car. Accelerator assembly (gas pedal) broke loose and jammed behind the brake resulting in not being able to stop and a rear end accident at less than 10 mph occurred. The front end looked trashed but worse resulted in $7K worth of body work plus $5.4K+ for a used Hemi motor (mine was out of balance after the impact) and a used $2.4K transmission. This low impact resulted in > $14K in repair and the car has not run right since. Chrysler has turned a deaf ear on this incident even thought it is fully documented. Lost my shirt on the residual value, time to dump and buy foreign at any cost.

My New 2006 Chrysler 300 - 2006 Chrysler 300
By Chrysler 300 - May 26 - 5:30 pmI have driven my 2006 Chrysler 300 for about a week. I bought it from a fleet dealer. I did not know that it had a small engine since I really dont know much about cars and I fell in love with the cars appearance. It seems to lack power, its OK but i need a little more get up and go...! I guess I just have to get used to it. Drives noisy like a airplane taking off!

Vehicle of choice - 2006 Chrysler 300
By Roger Stalker - May 7 - 2:46 pmI have had the car almost two years and it is still a pleasure to drive. This is the only car I can say that about. I have owned Mercedes Cads, Corvettes, Zs and many others and this is my vehicle of choice.

300c review - 2006 Chrysler 300
By deontaj - April 21 - 4:26 pmThe ONLY problem that I have w/my new 300 is the fuel econnomy, it there is a way to keep everything about the car the same EXCEPT how fast it runs through the gas the car would truly be perfect.

love it but they wont fix it - 2006 Chrysler 300
By margie foster - April 14 - 1:57 pmlove my car, but its been in the shop to replace a bracket on brakes, replace carpet, something to do with the driving line, transmission leaking and rear was leaking oil also. All that fixed but, Ive had rattles that I keep going back for and they say its just the road. I finally called the manager right now Im sitting at home with no car because they wont give me a rental car, not even for the previous times stated. I dropped car off at 8:30am and its almost 2:00pm and Ive talked to the manager at 12 noon and havent heard anything as of yet. So I guess I have to call Daimler Chrysler.

Bang for dollar - 2006 Chrysler 300
By srt8 - March 27 - 7:08 pmI have had my srt8 06 n ow for 1 1/2 years. All I can say is for the price its the biggest bang for your Buck. I installed mopar lowered suspension kit, cold air, and exhaust. Big improvement over stock. Im lucky enough to live not far from Hennessey performance engineering and the things they can do. Awesome. Have made numerous high speed test in West Texas, at 165 on smooth road handles good, but rough road at high speed better hold on, it gets tricky. Still lots of fun. Enjoy if your lucky enough to own one.
