This Year's Model Updates:

The 2005 Chrysler 300 is an all-new, rear-wheel-drive flagship sedan; it replaces the Concorde and 300M. In a clear move away from the cab-forward design theme Chrysler championed in the 1990s, the 300 represents the company's bold new direction and makes use of plenty of Mercedes-Benz technology. Available features include Chrysler's Hemi V8, stability control, side curtain airbags and, later in the year, all-wheel drive.

Pros:
  • Chiseled and masculine good looks, powerful V8 in 300C model, long list of safety features, plenty of luxury and performance for the price paid.
Cons:
  • Sluggish acceleration with base V6, limited transmission choices, complex stereo controls.

Great car! Last car was a Mercedes S420 and for the price, you cant beat this car. Good job for Chrysler!

This car is a fun car to drive. It responds as soon as you step on the gas. The handling of the car at top speed is moderate. The comfort of my car is excellent. Its very spacious and the detail of the interior is cool. The exterior of the car is like an eye candy to people. Every where I go I get compliments on the car.

  • cool ride - 2005 Chrysler 300

Best Vehicle I have ever owned. Great gas mileage, confortable ride and plenty of room. I would recommend this car to anyone who needs a sedan type vehicle. The only one small complaint I have is the sun visor clip has broken 4 times now...there should be a recall on this piece.

In the short time that I have had this car, I feel that it isnt as smooth of a ride as I had hoped. Also, I have a problem with air whistling from the left side of the car. Other than that, I love the car. Maryann McLemore

Iv had a Lexus LS400, an Infinity Q45, Cadillacs (Seville, Deville and Eldorado. This car is right there with all of them. Probably the fastest and definitely the best handling. Its not a Lexus nor Infinity, but it sure beats Cadillac. For the $34,000 that I spent, you cant even buy the little thing Cadillac calls a luxury car. The 300 C Hemi is outstanding.

  • 8 way power seats, passenger side - 2005 Chrysler 300
    By -

only comfort disappointment. 8way power seat was not even offered as an option for passenger in 2005. manual recliner only. they were standard in 2006. my three prior chryslers had them as standard equiptment. it is not that they were unfarmiliar with the tecnology. if my primary objective had not been the hemi,i would have passed on the car. of course we all understand that telling a customer that it will be available next year is not good sales technich. my three prior chrysler were purchased from chrysler corporation and this was from daimler-chrysler. that could account for the difference in philosphy.

  • Bad buying experience - 2005 Chrysler 300

This is the second 300 I have owned the first one I had for about 2 weeks. I was lied to by the dealer and refused complete Carfax. When I went on line and purchased my own carfax I returned to the dealership and we worked out a deal on a different 300. Now to tell you the problem that I still have and other owners also have. There is a clunking noise in the rear of the car. It sounds like something in the trunk rolling around when you take off from a stopped position. The dealership has no idea what it is and suggested that I keep asking when I bring it in for the oil changes if there has been a notice posted for it.I would like to know if anyone has had this problem fixed yet on their car

  • 300C!! - 2005 Chrysler 300
    By -

As you can see I titled this 300C!! because the car has caused so much excitement. Never have I driven a large sedan with as much comfort and kick. The multi-phase hemi engine provides respectable fuel mileage and the ability to move when needed. The exterior design turns heads no matter where you are and the ride is excellent.

  • Abnormal wearing of the front tires - 2005 Chrysler 300
    By -

The 300 is a very good car with one major problem, the front tires are not wearing properly.I noticed that at 12,400 miles they seemed to be cupping. I had them rotated at 7,000 miles and again at 10,200 miles. At 12,400 miles I noticed the cupping and had them rebalanced and rotated again. The service mgr. said thatChrysler knew they had a problem but as of yet had no fix or solution to it.I called the Chrysler customer customer relations hotline and explained to them my problem and they said that the cupping wear was normal and they would not do any thing about it, I had the front end aligned at the dealer where I bought the car at 15,400 miles {no charge under warranty},but no real solution
