Overview & Reviews
The 2005 Chrysler 300 is an all-new, rear-wheel-drive flagship sedan; it replaces the Concorde and 300M. In a clear move away from the cab-forward design theme Chrysler championed in the 1990s, the 300 represents the company's bold new direction and makes use of plenty of Mercedes-Benz technology. Available features include Chrysler's Hemi V8, stability control, side curtain airbags and, later in the year, all-wheel drive.
- Chiseled and masculine good looks, powerful V8 in 300C model, long list of safety features, plenty of luxury and performance for the price paid.
- Sluggish acceleration with base V6, limited transmission choices, complex stereo controls.

happy and proud 300c owner - 2005 Chrysler 300
By schesman - September 24 - 8:46 pmLove the styling and the solid feel of the chassis. Cant count how many people have come up to me to ask questions. Everybody is very excited about this car. Engine is smooth as silk and very strong. Tranny does its job well too. Seats, gauges, nav system and stereo are great. Small windows look great and I have no problem with the outward visibility. Negatives: Bins on front doors are made of really cheap plastic. I have a few interior rattles that are bugging me, but no more than any other car I have owned, including so-called quality benchmarks like Lexus and Acura. I have owned them all and this car - whether it is American, Canadian or German - competes strongly on all fronts.

10s all around - 2005 Chrysler 300
By dug - August 28 - 10:16 pmthe team pulled it together on this car. Even the gas mileage is hard to beat as the 300c drops 4 cylinders while you drive on the hwy. It uses only 4 cylinders when you arent accelerating. Beats most 6 cylinder engines on the hwy but has the kick of a Hemi when you need it.

donovans #1 rvw - 2005 Chrysler 300
By n. johnson - August 28 - 9:03 pmThis vehicle comes with all kinds of niceities, but the body is very cheaply made. The fenders near the wheel wells can be moved back and forth up to two inches, and the fake chrome (plastic) is of less than satisfactory quality. Engine performance on the Hemi is excellent.

Bang for your buck - 2005 Chrysler 300
By Eric L - August 28 - 10:00 amIf you want to impress people, just pull up in one of these babies and the Jag owner next to you will do a double take and think twice about looking at Ford again. This car is ride to get what you want as luxury for your buck. I just wish the model I had offered piviting side mirrors, power passenger seats, six disk changer, digital temp. console, an auto dim rear view mirror and last but not least Sirius Radio.

Love it or Leave it? - 2005 Chrysler 300
By Frank - August 27 - 9:50 pmAfter waiting over three months to take delivery of our Chrysler 300C, it finally arrived. An extremely well assembled unit, nice fits inside and out. That all lasted about three weeks, and then the problems started. With no warning whatsoever, the battery was totally dead, and were now working on number four battery! Just one electrical problem after another! More often than not, its back to the dealer so they can search for the problem. In 3-1/2 months we have managed to drive it 1349 kms (800 miles) Things such as dash warning lights (engine, ESP/BSN) inop auto wipers, inop daytime running lights and who knows whats next! Other than that, a beautiful car...wish I could drive it!

Worried - 2005 Chrysler 300
By Worried - August 23 - 1:24 pmI have had this car since December and find myself when sitting at a light or a stop sign it feels like my car is going to stall. It downshifts and feels like its going to stall - Or it feels like someone has rearended me sometimes - the first few times that happened I thought the car behind me did hit me. It has been happening more and more lately - and has also stalled out on me a few times while just waiting to turn - I took it to the dealership and they said nothing is wrong - however, something is wrong - I also had a recall on my transmission with something - which they say has nothing to do with it but hmmm? Im not sure what to think at this point. I just want to make sure I

300C: a "ten" Continental: "zip" - 2005 Chrysler 300
By cae300c - August 17 - 4:18 pmThe 300C may go down as a milestone car in that it is a fresh, bold design rarely seen in American cars (European influenced or not) for over three decades. These cars have style, power, comfort and dependability to rival many imports costing up to twice as much. There has obviously been a lot of thought put into these cars ... except for a very important component - THE TIRES! They are so bad that I will not be surprised if an episode similar to the Ford/Firestone issue occurs. There is no doubt that both Chrysler & Continental know that there are several issues with these tires, but there has been no recall or acknowledgement from either. My tires failed inspection at 17k--unacceptable!
