This Year's Model Updates:

The 2005 Chrysler 300 is an all-new, rear-wheel-drive flagship sedan; it replaces the Concorde and 300M. In a clear move away from the cab-forward design theme Chrysler championed in the 1990s, the 300 represents the company's bold new direction and makes use of plenty of Mercedes-Benz technology. Available features include Chrysler's Hemi V8, stability control, side curtain airbags and, later in the year, all-wheel drive.

Pros:
  • Chiseled and masculine good looks, powerful V8 in 300C model, long list of safety features, plenty of luxury and performance for the price paid.
Cons:
  • Sluggish acceleration with base V6, limited transmission choices, complex stereo controls.

  • One fun car - 2005 Chrysler 300

Finally a stylish car for a 40 something professional that even my kids think is cool. Now whenever we go anywhere the kids (13,6,6) always ask if we can take the "hemi" (as they affectionately refer to it). Its fun watching the reaction of people in the vehicles I pass. They give that long look eyeing the vehicle up and down, front to back. Ive lost count of the number of business associates, friends and relatives that see me pull in and greet me outside to ask if they can take it for a drive. Its an amazing vehicle, well performing, great handling, and stylish. Its amazingly quiet and comfortable.

Love the style and handling of this car, BUT problems started with blown fuses/bulbs, AC wouldnt get cold, headlights blow when weather turned cold (replaced 3). Pinging started, engine light came on (code P0405, cyl misfire). Chrysler recommended detonation process (remove carbon from valves),no help. Several more visits with engine light on (same code), found a crack in head gasket. Replaced head gasket(Aug 05, 8,000+ miles). More visits for blown fuses--wire burned at muffler, replaced front control module. Jun06 started having bad vibration in gas pedal and engine light on again. Removed carbon again-- 99.9% sure fixed, 2 days later vibration back. Currently pursuing lemon law.

I have had the car for almost 2 years now, and it is the first car that I have not had to take back to the dealership for something major

  • I love my car - 2005 Chrysler 300

I looked at several cars before going back to the 300. I loved the chop-top look and I the Bentley grill. I love the looks I get and I love the way it drives. I recommend this car to anyone who wants to feel excitement while diving to and from work or the grocery store.

  • 300M to 300 Limited - 2005 Chrysler 300

Had a 99 300M with 47000 on it and loved the look and drivability. Limited was just a great looking car with overall appeal for its looks and reliability ratings.

Turned in my 2001 300M for 300 base has 3.5L not 2.7L as some people think. Much nicer handling car in all respects to the 300M. Attention grabbing exterior with lots of room inside. Sunroof is one touch open and close, a much needed improvement. Too bad to get all windows one touch up you have to go to the "C" or even a jetta.

  • Great Chrysler - 2005 Chrysler 300

This car handles very well. Gives more solid feeling than a front wheel drive. Steers very easily and responds immediately. On a 1200 mile trip, immediately after purchase, loaded with two bags of golf clubs, two garment bags and a large suit case plus sundry boxes etc. at maintained speed of 70 mph got 28 m/g on gas. Engine is quick to respond, extremely peppy. Trunk is very large and extended by pulling down backs of rear seat.A great car.Reason for buying. Had a 99 LHS for 5 years over 55000 miles and was never in the shop for any mechanical problem.

What a great car. Awesome handling. Great power, and good mileage. This shows the benefit of the Chrysler- Mercedes marriage.

  • Nice job - 2005 Chrysler 300

Styling and handeling of this car are just great. The 18" wheel base adds to the comfort and performance. Hemi 5.7 gives the feel of a real performance automobile which is not afraid to take any challengers.
