Overview & Reviews
The 2005 Chrysler 300 is an all-new, rear-wheel-drive flagship sedan; it replaces the Concorde and 300M. In a clear move away from the cab-forward design theme Chrysler championed in the 1990s, the 300 represents the company's bold new direction and makes use of plenty of Mercedes-Benz technology. Available features include Chrysler's Hemi V8, stability control, side curtain airbags and, later in the year, all-wheel drive.
- Chiseled and masculine good looks, powerful V8 in 300C model, long list of safety features, plenty of luxury and performance for the price paid.
- Sluggish acceleration with base V6, limited transmission choices, complex stereo controls.

Great Car - 2005 Chrysler 300
By touring limited - May 9 - 8:31 pmThis is a great car. Ive never owned a car that has attracted more attention. Its hard to get gas without someone asking me about the car and telling me how great it looks. I even had a man follow me to a motel to ask me how I like the car because he was planning to trade his cadillac in on a 300!

this car rules - 2005 Chrysler 300
By dave-L - May 8 - 11:39 amThe car has met every expectation in the 2 years Ive owned it. Fit and finish have been superb, as well as the performance and mileage. Im getting 18 mpg in town and 26 on the highway with mid-grade gas. The cylinder deactivation system is virtually invisible to the driver. The car has had absolutely no problems (after an initial front end alignment ajustment).

Best value on the street - 2005 Chrysler 300
By Mark Kuntz - April 30 - 11:00 pmThis car is by far the best value on the road today in the luxury class. It quietly floats down the highway at 85 MPH, get a radar detector, youll need it. Unless you live in Colorado or like area, dont bother getting the AWD. I live in Northern Illinois and have the standard Traction Control and Electronic Stability Program and it is all you need. I was amazed during the first snow storm I drove in. Styling is unique and eye catching, get use to alot of long stares as you drive by other cars. If youre considering a Lexus LS 430, any Lincoln, Infinity M45 or S class Mercedes, do yourself a favor, and test drive the 300C. Youll end up saving $15,000 or more.

What a great car! - 2005 Chrysler 300
By George F - April 18 - 2:03 amI have had this car for 3 weeks, still less than 1000 miles. Avg. mileage (outer suburban area commuting) is 17.6 mpg. Car is quiet and extremely comfortable. Doors sound like bank vault. I like the back up alarm because you cannot see trunk from inside car. Very smooth, stable and responsive power. Radio (Sound pkg II) sounds great. Seats very comfortable. Styling is beautiful to me. Originally wanted dark color; dealer had Satin Jade Pearl which I am glad I bought. Looks classy and does not show dirt. Still new...no complaints; everyone at work has been impressed. Build quality better than earlier Chryslers; swore off em in the 90s but tried again after 10 years; so far, great!

What a Rush - 2005 Chrysler 300
By stall - April 16 - 3:23 pmWell were kind of old timers I got my 05 Chrysler 300C in August of 2004. Nothing but happiness since then except for the Continental tires. No tranny issues, no wind leak, no complaints at all. Ive got 19.5K on it now and my experience mirrors the long term test at Automobile Magazine. Their 7 or 8 months into a full years test and using 12 drivers report no issues. My 300C goes like hell and gives me a rush whenever I take it out. The Hemi is simply Awesome. My Wife usually takes it so I end up with here Camry. Its a pretty good car except for loosing head gaskets (2) and requiring no-doz because its as boring as driving a toaster.

A nice step up - 2005 Chrysler 300
By MTate - April 16 - 10:00 amAs a previous owner of a 300M, the 300C is clearly in a classy category. From the smooth, quiet ride to the top notch stereo system to the Hemi experience, this is something that must be test driven. Ive had the car for three weeks and Im still excited just to drive it to the grocery store. Anyone who grew up with rear wheel drive cars will wonder how they ever accepted front wheel drive vehicles.
