Overview & Reviews
The 2005 Chrysler 300 is an all-new, rear-wheel-drive flagship sedan; it replaces the Concorde and 300M. In a clear move away from the cab-forward design theme Chrysler championed in the 1990s, the 300 represents the company's bold new direction and makes use of plenty of Mercedes-Benz technology. Available features include Chrysler's Hemi V8, stability control, side curtain airbags and, later in the year, all-wheel drive.
- Chiseled and masculine good looks, powerful V8 in 300C model, long list of safety features, plenty of luxury and performance for the price paid.
- Sluggish acceleration with base V6, limited transmission choices, complex stereo controls.

10s all around - 2005 Chrysler 300
By dug - August 28 - 10:16 pmthe team pulled it together on this car. Even the gas mileage is hard to beat as the 300c drops 4 cylinders while you drive on the hwy. It uses only 4 cylinders when you arent accelerating. Beats most 6 cylinder engines on the hwy but has the kick of a Hemi when you need it.

300C: a "ten" Continental: "zip" - 2005 Chrysler 300
By cae300c - August 17 - 4:18 pmThe 300C may go down as a milestone car in that it is a fresh, bold design rarely seen in American cars (European influenced or not) for over three decades. These cars have style, power, comfort and dependability to rival many imports costing up to twice as much. There has obviously been a lot of thought put into these cars ... except for a very important component - THE TIRES! They are so bad that I will not be surprised if an episode similar to the Ford/Firestone issue occurs. There is no doubt that both Chrysler & Continental know that there are several issues with these tires, but there has been no recall or acknowledgement from either. My tires failed inspection at 17k--unacceptable!

Midlife Crisis Solved - 2005 Chrysler 300
By Steve Sheets - August 3 - 12:19 pmHandles very well. Power on demand. All options except sat radio, and AWD. Nav system works great. Continental tires caused it to lead hard right. Tread depth half gone after 7000 miles on all 4 tires. Chrysler and Continental refuse to correct problem. Chrysler has issued 2 service bulletins about leading off. Had to buy new tires myself. Since replacing tires, no complaints. After changing all lubricants (engine, tran, diff)to Amsoil synthetics, hiway mileage at 60 jumped to 31.5, combo city/country 15 mile work commute mileage =24.8. MDS engine system works flawlessly so far. Parksense, rainsensing wipers, sound system, works great. Body styling turns heads. Makes you smile while driving

First Class - 2005 Chrysler 300
By Clifton Rhodes - July 26 - 11:28 pmThe only problem i had was that Chrysler didnt put the right tirer on the hemi. When these cars came out we had to purchase them with out own money. There should have been a recall and also on the air bag part that eventually short circuited and cost over $600.00. Beside that this is an excellent care i really enjoy my car.

Yup, I own one, and it is great - 2005 Chrysler 300
By t roberts - July 24 - 2:30 amTo give you a frame of reference, I previously owned a Cadillac STS. The 300C is far superior(!). If the performance of this car is what we get for the marriage of German and American car companies, then I am all for it (and I was born, raised, and still live in the Detroit area). No squeaks, No rattles. Also, I never had a car with stability control before. Some opinions have challenged the necessity of it, and I might have agreed, but I dont now! On an icy street, if you make a turn and you sense that the back end is going to go, at the second you get that feeling, you start to sense wheels braking independently to right the car. I then tried to do a donut to test it, but couldnt
