This Year's Model Updates:

The 2005 Chrysler 300 is an all-new, rear-wheel-drive flagship sedan; it replaces the Concorde and 300M. In a clear move away from the cab-forward design theme Chrysler championed in the 1990s, the 300 represents the company's bold new direction and makes use of plenty of Mercedes-Benz technology. Available features include Chrysler's Hemi V8, stability control, side curtain airbags and, later in the year, all-wheel drive.

Pros:
  • Chiseled and masculine good looks, powerful V8 in 300C model, long list of safety features, plenty of luxury and performance for the price paid.
Cons:
  • Sluggish acceleration with base V6, limited transmission choices, complex stereo controls.

  • I Love My Chrysler 300 "C" - 2005 Chrysler 300

At the end of my work day, I look forward to my drive home. The 300 "C" still turns peoples heads. The Hemi engine has plenty of "punch" when I need it. This car handles very well and my passengers are very comfortable. I love my "Hands Free U-Connect" which works off my Blue Tooth cell phone. All my calls are through my speakers; this was the first car in North America to have this feature. Makes me feel like I have alot of car..but alot of money still left in my bank account. Im completely satisfied with this car.

Car is impressive but having problems: Outside Temperature Indication locks into a temp and does not change, if it is a low morning temp then the A/C does not work. Transmission speed sensor has failed and the part is on backorder with no delivery date. Chrysler has had my car now for 19 days out of 49 while we wait for the part. AM reception is awful, waiting on a new AM antena base.

Since the late 60s I have not have so much fun driving a car with &*^%! Anyway, never owned a Chrysler product in my life, was a major motor head in the 60s, and have never been impressed since....you could spend 60k more, and not have the same ride! BTW; Only complaint is visibilty is not good, but if you are in front; who cares.....PPC

I bought the loaded 300C 9 months ago and loved the looks, power and creature comforts of the 300. I had to sell the car after 9 months and 28,000 miles because it rides like you are on a buckboard wagon. You feel every bump in the road yet the Chrysler dealer says the ride is normal after taking it for a drive. I had planned on driving it for a long time but could not stand the thought of driving it any longer. PS - Resale value has gone down drastically.

  • Overall a happy owner - 2005 Chrysler 300

Well, just approaching 40000 miles. So far not a single issue aside from the loss of memory for the keys (a result of me running over a boulder in the middle of a highway). The dealer did a great job fixing everything and the car still drives well. Even winter driving is not bad and I live in Edmonton, Alberta.
