This Year's Model Updates:

The 2005 Chrysler 300 is an all-new, rear-wheel-drive flagship sedan; it replaces the Concorde and 300M. In a clear move away from the cab-forward design theme Chrysler championed in the 1990s, the 300 represents the company's bold new direction and makes use of plenty of Mercedes-Benz technology. Available features include Chrysler's Hemi V8, stability control, side curtain airbags and, later in the year, all-wheel drive.

Pros:
  • Chiseled and masculine good looks, powerful V8 in 300C model, long list of safety features, plenty of luxury and performance for the price paid.
Cons:
  • Sluggish acceleration with base V6, limited transmission choices, complex stereo controls.

  • No Quality Checks on this car - 2005 Chrysler 300

I have been back to the dealer many times over the last 6 months for these problems: 1) Even on minor grades, car will roll backwards in drive when I take my foot off the brake. 2) Car shifts hard from reverse to drive. 3) At low RPM acceleration, car up-shifts hard from 2nd to 3rd 4) Generally poor quality control on the painting. The first time I bought gas I noticed the paint primer clearly visible on inside of gas cap door. First time sun shinned on the side of car I noticed the interior metal of the rear wheel wells was bare. 5) I have been listening to the same radio station for 22 years on my 52 mile trip to work. This 300 is first car which looses station. 6)Vibration in dash

  • No Soft touches here - 2005 Chrysler 300

How sad it is that this car is flat and boring inside with supportive seating that feel hard and cinder box comfortable. The leather lacks that butter soft feel of a luxury sedan, but wait the right side of the front seat doesnt work the same way as the driver seat..... Whats up with that??? Try adjusting this seat, a surprise that clearly show this is a One persons show-off car, not a family car for the WHOLE FAMILY. Try riding in the back seat, SAD, SAD, SAD,....again two persons and cat?? The lack of space caused by center floor HUMP is showing how Backward this company is moving. The visor is too small, the center CD Tape console is too hard to use, and glove compartment area is very small.

  • Great look Bad every thing else - 2005 Chrysler 300

The 2005 Chrysler 300 has got to be the worst car I have ever bought. Just let me start form the top. It takes for ever in a day to cool off inside, it has stalled on me about five different times, the drivers side back window goes up and down when it fells like it, it vibrates excessively when it comes to a stop most of the time the radio gets the poorest reception of any car I have owned manufactured in this decade. I plane on getting rid of the car ASAP. I pay to much money for such a crappie car I should have gone with the Cadillac CTS. All this car has is looks and nothing else I would recommend a Bike at Wal-Mart before I would recommend A Chrysler.

  • Great looking vehicle but...... - 2005 Chrysler 300
    By -

We purchased this vehicle in May 2004 and have had nothing but problems since. Vehicle constantly pulls to the right, molding falling off, moon roof shades opens on its own, rear windows occasionally dont open, ie. electrical problems. Great looking and priced vehicle but check consumer web sites to find many owners with simular problems. Based on Chrysler Corp. not willing to help with many of these problems, we are trading in for a different vehicle. Never a Chrysler again.
