Overview & Reviews
The 2005 Chrysler 300 is an all-new, rear-wheel-drive flagship sedan; it replaces the Concorde and 300M. In a clear move away from the cab-forward design theme Chrysler championed in the 1990s, the 300 represents the company's bold new direction and makes use of plenty of Mercedes-Benz technology. Available features include Chrysler's Hemi V8, stability control, side curtain airbags and, later in the year, all-wheel drive.
- Chiseled and masculine good looks, powerful V8 in 300C model, long list of safety features, plenty of luxury and performance for the price paid.
- Sluggish acceleration with base V6, limited transmission choices, complex stereo controls.

car is a flop - 2005 Chrysler 300
By mad man - January 1 - 10:03 amI bought this car last year. i got one of the first ones. Well it has been nothing but touble. The car is stalling at all speeds and engine light comes on and off. There is a problem with these cars and Chrysler is trying to keep it under wraps because it was named car of the year and is selling well. If anyone else is having engine problems and stalling post it on this site.

Overhyped - 2005 Chrysler 300
By dave h - July 7 - 3:05 pmThe Chrysler 300 is the most over hyped car in the past couple of years. Last winter it seemed to be one of the worst cars on the road for handling snow and ice. It is especially poor for the size and weight of the car. Visibility is also very poor.

By rushics - January 12 - 1:03 amthis car and the dealer i bought it from are absolutely awful. within less than 3000 miles the transmission blew up. . . .twice. the dealer refused to replace the car so now i have a brand new car with a twice rebuilt transmission. its a nice looking car, and fun to drive- but that doesnt mean anything when its in for serivce 30% of the time ive owned it.

Stopped shifting @ 3500 miles - 2005 Chrysler 300
By Lemon Owner - January 27 - 2:53 pmLoved the 300C until it stopped going forward and reverse at only 3,500 miles. Has been in the shop for 8 days now and dealership cant figure out the problem. Theyve taken the transmission apart and are waiting to hear from Chrysler on what to do next. Ive submitted my 15 day notice to Chrysler to have it fixed or give me back my money per my states lemon law. Needless to say, were greatly disappointed.

Dont buy a 300 chrysler 2005 or 2006 !!! - 2005 Chrysler 300
By MVG - January 23 - 7:50 amThis Car is a TOTAL FLOP! I have had nothing but problems since the first week. There is a MAJOR design flaw in at least 10% of these cars (And the Dodge Magnum) where the car pulls (leads, drifts) to the right and it is dangerous to drive and hard to control. Read all the posts in the Chyrsler Forums here on this website to learn more! Chrysler wont admit to this problem, but they keep buying back peoples cars...I wonder why?!?!?!? From what Ive read, the 2006s have the problem too! Dont get stuck like me, stay away from Chrylser-Dodge-Jeep!
