Overview & Reviews
The TrailBlazer EXT gets minor interior revisions this year. Seating has been restyled and boasts comfort and quality improvements. Detail changes include revised chrome accents, trim enhancements and a new instrument panel appearance. A stereo system with CD/MP3 compatibility and full-length side curtain airbags (replacing last year's front-seat side airbags) are new options this year. Power rear-quarter windows are also new for 2005.
- Class-leading engine power, soft highway ride, room for seven, extensive features list, simple controls.
- Skittish handling around corners, numb steering, generic interior design with mediocre materials.

Happy Happy Happy - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT
By Donelle - December 18 - 10:00 amI have bought many vechicles in my lifetime searching for the right one. I as a mother of 5 children feel absolutely comfortable driving this SUV. Its been several months since I bought my first trailblazer and I can already tell you that from here on out when its time for me to purchase another vechicle it will be this exact same SUV.

Love this Ride - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT
By Monica & Micheal - May 31 - 5:16 pmOur first SUV. Rides great. Gas mileage isnt the best but the room we have is awesome. Love the 3rd row seating. Not that easy to access but its enough room for our 3 kids. They love it. The first thing they do when getting in, is the 3rd row. They feel like chauffers.

Great vehicle - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT
By Jay - May 31 - 8:06 amThis is the best SUV in this price range. If you compare it to SUVs in the MSRP range there are others that are better. If you compare it to vehicles in with the average transaction price, youll be hard pressed to find another vehicle with the features, power, and even quality. The new GM strategy to reduce the price to levels close to the actual transaction price will put this vehicle in categories that it will win customers when they do side to side comparisons. In the past, most consumers compared the vehicle to others in the same MSRP range and this vehicle didnt compare favorably. For example the one I bought I would have selected another at $31K. But no others compared at $25K

Great Large SUV - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT
By hpopik - December 10 - 11:11 amBought the Trailblazer from GM dealer in 2006 with 18,000 Kilometers or fifteen thousand miles for a great price and got the extended warranty for it. SUV has about 125,000 kilometers or about 75,000 Miles .The vehicle has been excellent as it is January ,2014 and still looks and drives excellent. It is a 4X4 which is great as I am in Alberta, Canada and we have over four feet of snow already this year so the 4X4 is great and no problems with it. This winter we went through the Rocky Mountains and purchased Cooper Winter Tires and the road control on both ice and snow is remarkable. The factory tires originally on the car are bad and I wouldnt recommend them to anyone. round Great SuV

Nice ride - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT
By Dave - June 16 - 7:46 amThis SUV is not a Tahoe but the next best thing Chevy has to it. The ride is great and plenty of room. Gas milage is one reason I bought this SUV. The 4WD works great, and we love the separate climate controls in the front. Much easer to get into the third seat than the Tahoe, and the the third seat sits higher so your knees arent in your face.

Great SUV - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT
By JD - June 13 - 2:50 amI really have enjoyed my experience with my Trailblazer. It rides smoothly, has plenty of room, and looks very nice. There are two cons that I have thus far experienced. One is the low gas mileage, although its decent for an SUV. The other is that Im a shorter person and wasnt able to afford the LT style resulting in having manual seats. It is a little difficult for me to see out the front due to this.

Excellent Vehicle - 2005 Chevrolet TrailBlazer EXT
By Mick - September 22 - 6:16 amWe purchased this vehicle in March 05 for my wife and have made 6, 15 hour, 800 mile drives to Oregon and back to Calif. We have found it to be a confortable car to drive, handles very well, fuel economy is not bad for a 4WD. The seats are very confortable. Even when we had 5 people in the car for an extended drive. The Trailblazer had plenty of power to take us over the mountains. Controls are user friendly. The only poor design I found is when using the heater, it overheats the CD stereo system, the CDs become very hot, not good for the disks. The second is make sure your auto windshield wiper system is off, when going thru a car wash. Rear wiper replacement parts were 27.00.
