practical and fun to drive - 2003 Chevrolet Tracker
By TNRalph - April 25 - 2:00 amThis "baby SUV" has met my needs. I wanted a car that gets good gas mileage, looks good and has easy-to-access storage and transportation. I have put a dog cage in the back (with a dog), plenty of groceries, and luggage with no trouble. The interior comfort leaves something to be desired but the design is very good and the car is fun to drive and reliable. For the price and category of vehicle, the Tracker has been a good bet for our small family.

Wills Review - 2003 Chevrolet Tracker
By Will Solomon - March 11 - 2:00 amIt is a great, smooth, fun to drive vehicle. The interior is middle of the road, but that is what I wanted. Cool looking SUV.

Happy with Tracker - 2000 Chevrolet Tracker
By ArcheryInstructor - March 7 - 2:00 amGas mileage is superior to the Blazer that it replaced and the fuel injected engine is far more reliable than the old carberator. The Overdrive option is excellent and helps with the gas mileage and the ride is comfortable. Only concern is the back door that opens out and to the side so that it makes a difference which side of an object I stop on for loading and unloading or how close I stop.

Great Rig! - 1999 Chevrolet Tracker
By HRalph - February 10 - 2:00 amWas looking at a Kia Sportage. However, during the test drive, found it rocked forward and back on bumps. Saw a 2dr/5sp/conv tracker on the lot and took it for a spin. No rocking there. Have had it for 3.5 years and have had no problems. Got the 1.6L and it does great on gas-27mpg-and has enough power to do what I need. Kids love the wind blowing in their faces with the top down. Driven it off-road some, but mostly as a run around car with some highway. Had to get used to the high- center in the wind. Went to motorbooks.com for the right Haynes manual as I could not find the correct manual anywhere else.

Good, honest, basic, cheap 4WD jeep - 2002 Chevrolet Tracker
By MikeinMO - February 6 - 2:00 amI bought the Tracker because it was the only GM model available locally with a 5-spd (I had GM$). The Tracker is not refined, comfortable, not a very good freeway car. It is fun to drive, great on dirt and gravel roads, gets better gas mileage than any SUV (24 avg), has decent cargo space and is reliable (check cons. rep.). It is much more Jeep-like than the CRV or RAV, but with GM$ and rebates its about $5,000 cheaper. I chose the 5 speed 4cyl, which drives like a late 80s Japanese truck but feels rugged and is fun and economical. With 4WD, PW, PDL and cruise, I paid (after rebates) $14,500. Ive had it for a year now, and like it more than when I first bought it.

TRACKER, NOT WHAT I BARGAINED FOR - 2000 Chevrolet Tracker
By Corey565 - January 8 - 2:00 amI BOUGHT MY TRACKER 2 YEARS, AND I WISH I WOULD HAVE MADE A MORE INFORMED DECISION. I DONT LIKE THE WAY IT DRIVES. I CALL IT MY SUPED UP GOLF CART. IT SOUNDS REALLY NOISY WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE. THE RESALE VALUE IS NILL. I OWE 2500 MORE ON IT THAN WHAT IT IS WORTH. THE COMFORT LEVEL INSIDE IS NON-EXISTENT ALSO. THE SEATS ARE UNCOMFORTABLE, AND YOU CAN REALLY FEEL EVERY BUMP. I STILL HAVE 3 MORE YEARS LEFT ON THE LOAN, IM COUNTING THE DAYS UNTIL ITS PAID. A LONG AND EXPENSIVE LESSON....RESEARCH YOUR PURCHASE BEFORE YOU BUY. NEXT TIME GETTING AN ALTIMA.
