Cheap Fun - 2001 Chevrolet Tracker
By Bryan Wilson - January 13 - 3:53 pmI bought my 2001 Tracker 4x4 convertible used with 18,000 miles on it. It has all the power features I didnt care about too. I had a 1993 Tracker prior, so I sought out the 2.0L 4cyl w/5spd manual combo. I cannot speak for the stock performance because within a matter of hours of owning it...I had the Calmini suspension lift and Interco 29" Thornbirds installed. However, the vehicle handles incredibly well off road in 4x4. Traction in 4x2 mode is poor at times due to the lack of weight in the rear. Fun to drive, inexpensive to buy, good on gas, and never been stuck = a winner.

Watch the Underbody - 1999 Chevrolet Tracker
By Chip Cipriano - December 29 - 3:46 pmMy tailpipe rusted off 3 years after I bought it & found that you could not just replace the tailpipe you need a complete exhaust system. The price of the system $18,000 (not including labor). At 5 1/2 years, my front "Crossmember Stablizer" RUSTED off (with NO WARNING) it cost $350.00 for the part and another $200 in labor.GM would do NOTHING because it was over 80,000 miles. WHAT MILEAGE HAS TO DO WITH A "RUSTING FRAME" THEY COULD NOT EXPLAIN? Anyway, Im happy with the vechicle over all, but watch for rust underneath. it is very light metal.

chevy tracker roller - 2004 Chevrolet Tracker
By patti houston - November 13 - 11:25 ami did not enjoy the chevy tracker i purchased . the gas mileage was not good and the brakes sucked on gravel roads . needless to say the day i rolled my tracker in to a ditch , it was totaled . the trackers are way too light in the rear end , especially on gravel roads .

Great little car - 2004 Chevrolet Tracker
By John M Dunlap - October 30 - 2:00 amHave not owned the car for long but so far it is doing a great job. We live deep in the woods over rough gravel roads and it has a fine ride and handles the mud well. Just got thru taking the car on a 1900 mile trip. Rode very well and on the return trip drove 815 miles on day and wasnt beat. Very surprised at the build quality and overall performance
