  • American Quality - 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

I’m embarrassed that this is what Americans are producing. About every 1.5 months that I take it in for something broken. Here is the list of problems: rear leaf spring pads, squeak under accel, leaking front diff housing, selective operation of heated seats, lumbar support moves w/ door open& engine running(honest), service 4wd light, engine missfire(bad fuel injectors & press.reg.). What bothers me is most of these problems the service writers say "oh thats common, we have a fix for that." Thanks for working to improve your product GM. The engine still shudders/clunks @ idle & uses oil.

  • Best Truck Ive Owned - 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

I have owned and driven pickups for 30 years. This one is undoubtedly the best looking, handling, performing, and just best all-around truck I have ever owned or driven.

  • Comperably the Best - 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

I wanted a 4 wheel Drive Pick up. But since I am a on the road sales rep, I also wanted a comfortable ride. I drove a new Ford 150, and a new Dodge Ram. The Ford was not too bad ride, but the interior quality was very lacking. The dodge was by far the worst. Both the interior quality was poor and the ride was absoultly terrible, like riding on steel wheels with no rubber on them. The Silverado was execeptional for ride compared to the others, and the interior quality was as good or better than any other.

  • lots of breakdowns - 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

I purchased this vehilce last march and by the time it had 39,000 miles on it the rearend had gone out, the serpentine pully had gone bad, the front shocks were leaking and it had an airleak in the dash somewheres from the date of purchase. All of these miles on this truck were highway miles with regular maitnance done on it. I was very disappointed in the quality of the vehicle.

  • Awesome Ride - 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

The 2WD Silverado is a great choice for someone who needs a truck, but also does not want the gas mileage of a 4WD truck. I opted for the locking differential. With a little weight in the bed at winter time, my truck has yet to get stuck. I love the comfortable and smooth ride and the power from the 5.3 liter engine. I have been able to achieve just over 20 MPG on long distance trips which I feel is outstanding for a truck of this size. Go buy one - you wont regret it.

I bought this truck from a family member. It was better than new then, and is pretty close now. Im amazed at the power and handling that this truck has when compared to its size. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good used truck.

  • Good experience - 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Very good vehicle. Seems very solid and well built. No problems or warranty work required through 20 months of ownership.
