Gets Me Where I Want to Go, Every time - 1998 Chevrolet Prizm
By oldcrewjock - February 16 - 2:00 amPrizm is a good, reliable, cheap ride. Bought it new as a stripper, commuter car. No options except a rear window defogger, an AM-FM radio, and a tachometer. Good highway gas mileage (30 mpg in winter and 37 in summer). Around town mileage could be better (24 mpg winter and 28 summer). Had very few repairs. Fairly easy to change oil and oil filter. Has 81K miles now. Intend to keep it till it dies, hopefully when it reaches 200K. Peppy acceleration for a 4 cylinder. Teenage daughter has been trying to claim the car for her own. She has begun driving it to school.

Mt Runner - 1998 Chevrolet Prizm
By mt goat - February 16 - 2:00 amI have the Lsi with power moon roof, manual 5 spd. This is everything I have been looking for. I was impressed by the power because the first thing I did was floor it up a huge hill. I drive it up to a ski resort every Sunday in winter where Im on the ski patrol. I havent had a problem on icy roads and I love the gas milage.

Best Used Car Value around - 2001 Chevrolet Prizm
By prizmlvr - January 12 - 2:00 amI researched used cars for quite some time and this is easily the best deal for under $6K. We got an 01 with 31000 miles and still 5 more months of warranty for 6K out the door. The acceleration is sufficient and the mileage wonderful. A comparable Corolla would be 10K. Just cant beat this car value.

Solid Car - 1998 Chevrolet Prizm
By prizmrus - December 29 - 2:00 amHave over 108K miles and going strong. Have only had to replace brakes, clutch, tires, oil changes etc. No major repair work. My prizm is loaded with moonroof, alloy tires, 5 sp manual compensates for 4 cyl engine and sluggishness expressed by automatic trans owners. I get 38 mpg and drive 18k per year so this car saves bucks on gas and maintenance. Open the moon roof, crank the cd player and look out this baby can fly ...

Reliability Rocks - 1998 Chevrolet Prizm
By Happy Prizm Driver - November 30 - 2:00 amI purchased my 98 Prizm Lsi with 56,000 miles on it. Ive put about 14,000 miles on it since and it has been a great car. I got 35.9 mpg on the highway with 4 adults and a trunk PACKED with luggage, and this car doesnt even have the overdrive transmission. Rock solid reliability, according to most online consumer guides. My Prizm has some vibration over 65 mph, which did not disappear after buying new tires and having them balanced. Try to find a Prizm with the overdrive, so youre not buzzing so hard when driving highway speeds.

Great Steal!!! - 2000 Chevrolet Prizm
By Jenay628 - August 29 - 2:00 amIve had this car for about a month and its great! It had 56000mi on it when bought it now has 59000 (I drive it alot!) Car does GREAT on gas milage-310mi/tank! Not too impressed with the interior. Floor space in the back could be bigger. Drive is okay but, it doesnt have a very fast pickup. I have to floor the gas to be able to get up to speed and even then it isnt great. The shocks, also, could be better. Other than that, Ive had no issues with this car. AC is great, sound system is superb and my two year old loves that he can see out the window! This car reminds me of a small version of a Malibu.

Great Car, overall - 2001 Chevrolet Prizm
By jbarr - June 29 - 2:00 amMy only complaint is that is a bit cramped for a 6 footer. Other than that, it is well built and economical.
