  • Good car, cheap ride - 1998 Chevrolet Prizm
    By -

Ive beat my 1998 Prizm to death, with a lot of stop and go city driving, and have not taken care of it very well---- I manage to change the oil about every 5,000 miles, and once in a while I run it through a car wash----thats about it. I have had no major problems with the car. I plan to drive it till it dies. With an end of the year rebate and a GM card accumulation of dollars, I paid $10,000 for this basic car----5 speed, AC, AM/FM, RWD, and thats about it for "frills". Still, it gets me where Im going. I probably would buy another one.

  • I love this car!!! - 2000 Chevrolet Prizm

In the 3 years thatmI have had my Prizm I have had to do nothing more than regular maintaince (You cant say that about many cars!!). That combined with the great gas mileage has saved me a bundle. While the car is a little on the small side it is great for a single person. It is big enough to haul people around when needed and the storage room is great.

  • Crusin in my Prizm - 1998 Chevrolet Prizm

I love Prizms! Theyre a smart buy for those whose priorities are reliability and fuel economy. My first car was a 95 Prizm. It was beautiful and purple. It died tragically in a head- on collision, and Im still getting over the loss. My 98 does fill in well, though I have had to take it in a couple of times (under warranty) for an airbag light and a minor emmissions problem. Buy Prizms, they rock (though youll have to buy used because Chevy is trying to get their small car buyers to drive Caviliers (YUCK!))!

  • My Third Prizm and NOT a Charm! - 2001 Chevrolet Prizm
    By -

This is my third Prizm and it has had alignment problems from the work go. I have spent more on alignments and tire replacements for this car than the other two Prizms combined. Between the repairs and the depreciation, it is hardly worth keeping. It is good in bad weather snow, sleet, etc.

  • Everything I had hoped for and more! - 1998 Chevrolet Prizm
    By -

I purchased my car in November of 2001. I love it! I had to replace the tires shortly after I bought it, but they were inexpensive. I drive it all over Arizona for work and I have no problems with it. I change the fluids religiously so I am sure that has alot to do with the performance. I highly recommend the car to anyone! Unless you are very tall. I am 5 11 and it fits me just fine.

  • Great Car - 2002 Chevrolet Prizm

Great car for what it is... a Toyota. I bought it for just that reason and I have not been disappointed.

  • Good car/Great Value - 2001 Chevrolet Prizm

Good car, very good value. I bought this car because its a Toyota for less money. The chevy dealer gave me a good price and when you compare the price to the Toyota corrolla its a great value. I have had the car for 1.5 years and 26,000 miles and NO TROUBLE SO FAR. I dont expect any - I expect the same good reliability that you get in a toyota corrolla. But I didnt have to pay the extra dollars for it. The LSI features gives the car the little added touch and I think its well worth the extra cost for that package. I am very pleased with this car.

  • Better than expected - 2000 Chevrolet Prizm

I bought this Chevy using GM MC credits and rebate. $12K out the door. Car is very quiet and comfortable for class. Engine is surprisingly peppy. I got new tires (performance) and the handling improved markedly (still leans in turns, but tracks well). Fuel economy in my work commute is ~34mgp! Fun and quiet car.

  • The best of both worlds - 2000 Chevrolet Prizm
    By -

I just bought my Prizm this weekend. The car is a blast to drive. I bought it used w/ 20k mi. Even though it is equipped with an automatic transmission, it quickly picks up to the speed limit. I have to keep my eye on the speedometer from speeding. It has the new 16 valve DOHC vvti engine from Toyota. The gas mileage is very similar to my former car, the Accent. The ride is smooth til you hit some rough roads.
