Overview & Reviews
Based on the 2004 Chevy Malibu, the Malibu Maxx is an all-new vehicle. A cross between a sedan and a wagon, it's designed to give midsize car buyers a little more space so that they don't have to resort to an SUV.
- Hatchback configuration makes for easy loading, spacious interior with adjustable rear seats, plenty of safety and convenience features, innovative remote start feature, standard V6.
- Lackluster interior, less cargo space than true wagons or SUVs.

More than a Econobox - 2004 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx
By Toyota&Honda Owner, - July 6 - 8:46 amThe Malibu Maxx was a complete surprise to me. My prior experience with GM rental cars was terrible. The Maxx combines a good blend of features, performance, fit and finish, reliability, and flexibility in a compact package. My initial attraction was 0% financing, but after 12000 miles I can recommend the Maxx for your daily driving needs. My car has zero defects and repairs. The chassis is stiff, and the Maxx handles well. There is plenty of low-end torque for a little fun in an econo-box. The rear passenger room is enormous. My sons said that they like the car because it is little on the outside and big on the inside.

Great Car - 2004 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx
By lemairechad - May 30 - 10:00 amMe and my wife test drove this car and fell in love with it from the get go.My son loves the dvd in the back, which makes driving that much more less stressfull. With the wireless headphones that come with the care my son puts on the headset and just pays no mind. The driving control is great! And outstanding gas mileage!!! Plenty of room in the back for a vacation.

Best vehicle in its class - 2004 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx
By HWYman - April 15 - 9:46 amAfter driving this vehicle in a climate prone to ice, snow and rain, for the last two years and 55,000 mi., I can only express my gratitude to Chevy for building such a safe, reliable, incredibly responsive, ultra fuel efficient vehicle. It has the pep and style of a sports car, the handling of a formula 1, and the gas economy of a sub compact. The AVG. fuel efficiency has been consistently 28 MPG city and 32 MPG HWY. It has the comfort of a Caddy, the roomiest rear seat around, the horse power of a mini Corvette, and a unique style that says " classy chassis." The price is right and the many options are all 21st century.

My Chevy - 2004 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx
By D Kerlin - February 14 - 3:46 amThe car has been very reliable on long trips and around town. We have experienced great gas mileage (34) on the highway and have been very satisfied with the ride. The interior is very well designed and all controls are placed well for the driver.

Maxx car for Mini price - 2004 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx
By maxxowner - February 2 - 2:00 amThe Maxx is fun to drive. Its peppy, and the steering is sensitive, even though its front wheel drive. I got a lot of options for a relatively low sticker price. As for the interior, I like that almost everything in the drivers space is adjustable, including the pedals. The leather seats are really soft and are texturized with little breathable holes that keep the leather from getting sticky and hot. I like the Maxxs unique design (built on Saab platform) and its safety features.

I love my Maxx - 2004 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx
By PJ - January 22 - 12:33 pmWhen taking the speed higher I feel like I am in a jet! The ride is very smooth on and off the freeway. When I first purchased my Maxx I was the only one in town who had one so I had a lot of curious stares and questions about it. I have nothing but great things to say. The first time I drove it in a test drive I fell in love with it and no other automobile I tested could match its comfort or smooth drive.

Love this car - 2004 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx
By SnowCat - January 21 - 2:10 pmMy girlfriend at work had bought one, and after sitting in every single sedan on the market ever made for the 2002 model year with my Mother, I went down and bought one. I have not been dissapointed. I have a loaded LT. The cargo carring is great, road trips are not bad - NYC -> Chicago in a blizzard with 4 adults and one little white dog & loaded to the gills with luggage. Trip wasnt bad, and got 32MPG in all that. Wish it had a 5 speed & a better generation Traction control (Hubby has a 00 BMW 528, his is *nice*) but other than that - shes great.

rave for maxx - 2004 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx
By nj scribe - September 27 - 2:00 amSince I keep a car for 10-plus years I am a hard sell. Something new must be way better. The Maxx fills the bill at a (relatively) bargain price. The amount of passenger and cargo room, the level of comfort, and the high-tech features such as remote starting, satellite (xm) radio, on star communications, heated seats, and convertible seats (passenger to work table surface, rear to cargo area. etc.) make this unique vehicle more than worth the 28k price.
