Most Bang for the Buck! - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx
By Marksme - December 13 - 10:00 amThe Malibu Maxx LT is proof that America can compete with a world class car with many engineering and well thought out features and lastest in technology. Based on the GM owed Saab, its a joy to drive long or short trips!

Its got it all - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx
By cwb - December 13 - 10:00 amHave only owned this car for a few weeks and I love it so far. Has all the options - XM, DVD, Heated seats, remote start etc... and I cannot believe the amount of leg room in the front and back seats. I am 60 and have to actually move the seat up to get it right. The DVD player hypnotizes my kids and bloes my friends away with the wireless headsets and remote. Im still getting used to the exterior - the salesman pretty much put me IN the car before I had a chance to really look at it from the outside - good thing he did, or I may not have bit.

Lots of bang for the money! - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx
By patches - December 2 - 2:10 pmVery great car, dependable and convenient. A sure keeper. Smooth, quiet drive, lots of room, especially with two youngsters. Cargo is great. Got rid of my Blazer LT for this one, and I do not regret it. Lots of space like an SUV, but handling is far smoother. I will definitely keep this car.

Satisfied - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx
By Kat - November 16 - 5:50 pmWe are very satisfied with the car. The only bad mark we have is the front seats. Handles great, yet has some features of an SUV. We did not like the handling of the SUVs we test drove, so this car was a nice in between. We would (and do) recommend this car to other people.

Surprising Car from Chevrolet - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx
By TallinArk - November 3 - 4:56 pmI really like this car. Plenty of room, good driving position (I am 63") and excellent fuel economy. City driving is 25-27 mpg and highway driving is 35-29 mpg. No lie. I added a K&N filter to my Maxx and got very good improvements in power and economy. Got it through the Employee Purchase program/rebate and got this car gor a great price. Had a couple of problems with it at first (fuel guage and tire) but were fixed by the dealer with no questions asked. Very quiet on asphalt, a little choppy on concrete, but all-in-all quite comfortable. Bridgestone tires will be replaced with Dunlop or Michelin at the earliest possible time. Outstanding safety features!

Not Bad for a Chevy - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx
By Hobbie2k - September 10 - 10:20 amI bought this car because I needed a new replacement for my 1993 Accord Wagon. It still ran great with 240,000, but with a new job that requires 1000 miles a week, it would have to break down eventually. I stopped at the Chevy dealer because of a 50% off promotion. I figured at 50% off even a Chevy would be worth it. Lets just say, I was pleasantly surprised. Its not as bad as I feared. I was thinking itd be a Lumina wagon, but dare I say, its all-around a better car than my parents Nissan (then again, the Nissan is a 2001 with 135,000 miles). This car is a good bargain after the rebates, but for MSRP there are better options.

Drives like a dream - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx
By medinamalibu - August 19 - 6:13 amAfter owning the Maxx for 2 days, I concluded that its driving manners were perfect. Three years later, the perfection has been restored by new tires/brakes/steering column. Love the extended warranty! Had a major water leak due to some missing sealant. Instruments freaked out one day and died for my commute, but came back perfect (with updated mileage, even!) the same night. Sunshades, ugh. Nice idea, but not durable enough for any use. A few design miscues havent spoiled how wonderful the car is. Its never left me stranded. Wish I could see 30+ MPG more often. Love the power, though. Rear visibility suffers -- should have been a more square-ish wagon.

A Nice Car - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx
By Tom Florek - June 14 - 7:00 pmJust recently bought this vehicle, however had the opportunity to rent a couple for work travel. Good fuel economy, smooth transmission movement. It can get out of its own way, but not at breakneck speed. A real good family car.

MAXX vs PRIUS - 2005 Chevrolet Malibu Maxx
By MAXX - May 30 - 8:46 pmI did my extensive homework on the Malibu Maxx LT, Civic and Prius hybrids. I test drove them all. I was fighting the fuel economy thing so you would think one of the two hybrids would win me over, well for the power, safety, standard features, and available options, the Malibu kept on winning me over. The 2005 model has all the safty features my family needs, and rear DVD, adjustable foot pedals, sunroof, moonroof, reclining rear seats, remote auto start, XM Radio, On-Star, and of course the great fuel economy. The sticker on this car said 22 city/30 hwy, but I feel like I am getting at least that. That is good compared to the price and options on the other two.
