1991 Chevy Lumina - 1991 Chevrolet Lumina
By Sarah - April 6 - 2:00 amMy mother bought the vehicle almost new in 1992 and sold it to me when I moved out of state. It has been an excellent car. We never had any major problems until the car hit 100K, and at that point the shocks, struts, spark plug wires all had to be replaced. The gas gage stopped working. The hood also started to rust a little, and the paint started to peel in the back. However, weve never had any mechanical problems. The engine has never had to be repaired and Ive never been leary about it breaking down on long trips. It has been a great car.

not a bad ride for the money - 1991 Chevrolet Lumina
By jmar - April 3 - 2:00 amI just bought my 91 Lumina Euro sedan w/ the sport package. I pretty much just use it to get to work and it seems to be a decent buy so far. It has a nice ride, is roomy enough and has plenty of torque. Some negatives, the build quality is not all that great. The interior door panels feel like they will come off any day now. It is loud from the exhaust and also road/wind noise is a bit excessive. I have read that the rear brakes should be checked often and that the charging system is weak. Overall, this is a good car that you wont be embarrased to drive and can actually be fun to drive if you dont mind some fairly minor quality issues.

Good, Reliable Car - 1996 Chevrolet Lumina
By Joshua Krause - April 2 - 2:00 amWe (my family) have owned this car since brand new. It has 35,000 miles on it and it runs perfect and has never had a problem. We had the front brake pads replaced at 32,000, but this is all we had done except for routine maintence. It is fun to drive and is one of the best built cars Ive driven.

Solid and sound - 1991 Chevrolet Lumina
By stankosky - March 21 - 2:00 amI purchased this vehicle from the original owner who only parted with it due to a death in the family. He talked how he loved going on road trips with it and hated to part with it. Well, IÂ’ve had it for three years and it has been a great vehicle. IÂ’ve had to give it a brake job twice, it likes to wear out the front pads. With 178,000 miles on the engine, it still runs strong. It is indeed a great highway cruiser. ItÂ’s smooth to ride in and handles turns and corners very well. The body is solid and IÂ’ve only recently encountered a small area starting to develop some rust. I recommend the purchase of this vehicle.

Bought Used with 15000 miles - 1999 Chevrolet Lumina
By Slurpee98 - March 13 - 10:33 pmIve had this vehicle for a couple of years with no drivetrain trouble. Mileage is ok and handling is great with a good pair of Perelli Scorpion tires. Interior design is pretty shabby though. Sun-Visor snap piece comes out of the ceiling every time I remove the visor. Glove box is held together with plastic fasteners and they both broke. Cup holder rubber grips melted with just a cup of coffee.

96 Lumina Review - 1996 Chevrolet Lumina
By AaronB - March 11 - 4:48 pmThe design of the car is nice, and it has clean lines. There is plenty of room on the inside.(Im 62") Controls are pretty well placed. One problem would be the cup holder in the arm rest. This broke off after about four years of use. The car runs well. It averages about 20mpg city, and about 25 on the highway. Ive had a couple of problems though. Ive had to replace the alternator and battery cables on the car. Outside of that, the car is reliable and comfy to drive.

99Lum - 1999 Chevrolet Lumina
By chevyfan - March 8 - 9:09 amNice comfortable car that looks much better with the 16 in. alloys. Quiet ride with little wind/road noise. The 3.1 could use a little more zip but bet good mileage. A great car to drive back & forth to the office with lots of room for the kids.
