Overview & Reviews
The HHR is an all-new compact wagon based on the Cobalt platform. Its retro styling is a throwback to the '49 Suburban.
- Smooth and quiet ride, lots of cargo space, attractive interior, excellent visibility, versatile sound system.
- Weak brakes, sloppy handling, engines lack low-end pull and refinement, tight shoulder room, out-of-reach window buttons, some cheap plastics.

Must be good - 2006 Chevrolet HHR
By Willie G - January 2 - 7:56 pmThey sell fast, that should tell you that the public likes the HHR. I find it very comfortable and very quiet on the road. Moves out when you need to. Way above what I expected from a small car.

A great ride for the buck - 2006 Chevrolet HHR
By Bill Towson - December 31 - 12:19 pmI have enjoyed driving this vehicle from the very first day, and I still enjoy driving it today. I just wish that the fuel mileage, which is not bad, would be a little closer to the new EPA fuel ratings. Buy one, You will love it.

Great Little Car - 2006 Chevrolet HHR
By Mike - December 11 - 3:23 pmI bought this car for my wife and she loves it. She only lets me drive it on the weekends. Its fun to drive, handles great, and has plenty of pep. The mileage is great and the looks are awesome. We looked at the Cruiser and found it to noisy. The HHR is quiet and more roomy. The things that are standard on the HHR are options on the competition. Good job Chevy.

Crashed - 2006 Chevrolet HHR
By hhr owner - December 9 - 6:20 amI owned my HHR for 8 full months. I ran into the rear end of a tractor trailer, and wasnt injuried with the exception of an airbag burn. I loved my HHR and will own another one very soon. To me, there is no comparison to a PT. Ive driven both, and enjoyed my HHR ten times more. My HHR was reliable, agile, and had great looks. GM has really turned their program around with this vehicle, and I cant say enough about the Ecotec. What a great engine. I just hope they introduce a boosted version in the HHR soon.

Wonderful little vehicle - 2006 Chevrolet HHR
By shebagirl48 - November 23 - 11:00 amIve had the HHR for about a week now. I love it. Had looked at PT Cruisers, but this vehicle is beautiful. First saw her on the internet and thought it was cute. That didnt do the HHR justice. When you actually see it your heart goes thump thump. So many of my friends and family that see it automatically say they want one too. Its fun to drive and like everyone else has said it sure does turn a lot of heads. There are just so many extra things such as the remote start, controls for the radio on steering wheel, sun roof, etc. etc. I Love It I Love It I Love It!!!!!

Vrooooom. . .Vroooom...Vroooom - 2006 Chevrolet HHR
By Rob - October 22 - 1:03 amI purchased this at the end of 2005 after having ordered it. I bought every option but the block heater and spoiler. Price was very reasonable, the car is great. Lots of room, stylish and very comfortable. Back seat could use a smidgen more room as it gets tight with three adults. But three kids fit great.
