Overview & Reviews
The HHR is an all-new compact wagon based on the Cobalt platform. Its retro styling is a throwback to the '49 Suburban.
- Smooth and quiet ride, lots of cargo space, attractive interior, excellent visibility, versatile sound system.
- Weak brakes, sloppy handling, engines lack low-end pull and refinement, tight shoulder room, out-of-reach window buttons, some cheap plastics.

This HHR Rocks - 2006 Chevrolet HHR
By ChristNMe - October 23 - 5:03 amI can only say that I enjoy the smooth ride the handling and the controls. I was looking for a truck and the Colorado was it... until I saw the HHR and took her out for a run. Great pickup for a small engine! The controls will take a little getting used to, but they really streamlined the doors by moving the window controls to the console area. I am so glad I took it for a ride and bought her!

The New HHR. - 2006 Chevrolet HHR
By J Sims - August 27 - 11:33 pmI purchased my HHR the day after Thanksgiving. I have been driving Blazers and Trailblazers for the last 10 yrs. This is a fun car, with good get-up and go. I love the retro look, but it has all the modern perks. Since I have only owned it a short time, my experience is limited, but so far...I love it.

Great Vehicle? - 2006 Chevrolet HHR
By George - August 16 - 8:46 pmNo one in DMV could tell me what model this was.......car/truck/suv/van????? Drove it two days after purchase from Clearwater, FL to Sierra Vista. Driveway to driveway 2062 miles with average 29.7 with normal I-10 cruise control set at 80mph. Shorter run to Phoenix got 31.9 on I-10 and in an around town w/ac so far 27.6. Rides great, handles great in and out of traffic and wife found it more than comfortable on trips with plenty of room for her shopping while traveling.

A Really Great Little Car - 2006 Chevrolet HHR
By cc732 - August 9 - 8:08 pmIt was hard to replace my little 99 2dr. Cavalier, but I was lovestruck when I saw the HHR. My local dealer gave me a great trade-in and found a car with the options I wanted. I had an issue with an interior water leak, but it was fixed to my satisfaction. A later pulsating brake issue was resolved quickly with little interruption to my busy schedule. I love the way it handles and interior space is great. The fuel economy is good with the base 2.2L auto. The seats are comfortable and adjust well. I currently lease and hope to buy it at the end. After 30,000 miles, it has been a very practical, reliable and affordable vehicle.

HHR is the bestest car in life - 2006 Chevrolet HHR
By HHR06 - June 10 - 10:46 pmI highly recommend HHR for good gas mileage and room for vacation get away. Great for road trips & long distance work. Way much better in snow than Chevy S-10 trucks. I will trade in for another HHR annually if I was a high roller!

Waynes HHR - 2006 Chevrolet HHR
By 2G1WT58K069210822 - June 7 - 2:13 pmMy wife and I are retired and bought our HHR for the fun of it. We liked the style and compfort right off. We have the 2LT model with all options except OnStar, we miss this option. I am looking froward to the new SS model or what ever they may call it, to come out. We will most certainly be looking.

Hard to find - 2006 Chevrolet HHR
By Recardo - May 24 - 2:43 pmThese cars are hard to find. My Chevy dealership cant hold the HHR for longer than a few days. I purchased a black LT with the 2.4 automatic engine. Have owned it for only a week and my wife and I are having a cruising good time.
