This Year's Model Updates:

The HHR is an all-new compact wagon based on the Cobalt platform. Its retro styling is a throwback to the '49 Suburban.

Pros:
  • Smooth and quiet ride, lots of cargo space, attractive interior, excellent visibility, versatile sound system.
Cons:
  • Weak brakes, sloppy handling, engines lack low-end pull and refinement, tight shoulder room, out-of-reach window buttons, some cheap plastics.

Stop looking any further- youll only be going back to the HHR and may find it was sold. We were shopping at 2 stores and then at some "foreign" places. The HHR is more functional and a better value. The are selling fast- we lost one because we wanted to shop around then had to wait a week for another to come in. We got one with the bigger engine and love it. Peppy, quiet, safe, sturdy, super mileage!

I really enjoy driving my HHR. My son, on the other hand, likes the car, but at 61", he is almost too tall to comfortably drive it.

I love the vehicle, there are only 2 things that I dont like. The first is the location of the window controls, they are out of place and you have to search for them. The other is the electronic steering is a little touchy and sensitive at low speeds.

This car is awesome to drive and to look at. Who could ask for more? We have the HHR 2LT and we are enjoying it to the max. First new car in 10 years and when we saw it we wanted it. Our first driving experience was a trip over the holidays and we headed north to Pa. and thru W.V. and ran into snow covered interstate and it handled terrific. The gas mileage has been in the high 30s on the road. We have not driven in town that much. This is our tripmobile and we are looking forward to our next excursuion to show our HHR off to the big guys. Go Chevy and keep up the Revolution. We wouldt change a thing.

Took three months to get delivery. Did not get to take advantage of temp price reduction because of delayed delivery-- Having said my piece on that--we are delighted by the vehicle. Took a 500 plus mile trip immediately after delivery and the car performed flawlessly and was very comfortable in ride and driveability. I ordered the Base LT1 in red and added leather seats, side air bags, rear cargo mat, OnStar, Anti-Lock brakes, fog lamps, auto tran/w/remote start.Std radio and disc are very good. It accelarates well for a 4 banger. I came down in size from 03 Ford Expedition-loaded EB 250+HP to 142HP. Yeah!!!!I like My HHR

Car is very stylish. I bought the least expensive model, yet it runs with the most expensive model. About $5,000 difference.

After having the HHR for just over a year I still love it! It is fun to drive, comfortable and roomy. Like that with the rear and front seat folded I can haul an 8 2x4! Even tho its a small car I can adjust the seat up so I feel like I am sitting up higher. The MPG is very good, have gotten upwards to 35-40 on long trips.

  • The Best Yet - 2006 Chevrolet HHR

The best auto I have purchased in years. I purchase a new auto about every 4 years. This auto is rated 25/30 miles per gallon. I am averageing 28.5 miles locally. Have gone on 3 long trips and have averaged 31.5, and latest was 33.1. This auto has so many nice features. It is an eye catcher, have had loads of people asking what it is, what a great feeling to know you have somehing that other people like. The best yet in autos for me. The 7.2 rating is far from what I think of this auto. Get out and drive it, it is fun to drive. Thank You Chevrolet.
