Pros:
  • Long wheelbase affords plenty of interior room, fore/aft-adjustable rear seats, high crash test scores, available side curtain airbags.

I change vehichles every 2-3 years. This is my first Chevy(except for a 79 4x4 Cheyenne long gone). Overall I enjoy it except for an annoying "clunking" noise in the front end. Especially annoying is the high speed stability, or lack of it. At freeway speeds it tends to be quick to get away from you. I must always stay glued to the steering wheel or I tend to find myself in the next lane. I had the dealership check it out but they heard no noises nor found anything wrong. I like the vehichle in all other ways but am very disapointed at its handling on the freeways. The one other thing that I miss is a hook to hang my dry-cleaning. I cant find one.

I just recently bought this vehicle so I dont have a lot of time with it. I bought it for my wife but have got to drive it a few times. When we picked it up from the dealership it was snowing, bad, but it got around great. I think that it has a very comfortable interior. So far I am very pleased with it.

I have had my car for 3 weeks. It has a lot of power and an amazing turning radius. The interior window display and cup holders are awkwardly placed but I love the space allotted between the two front seats. Its a very smooth ride. XM radio is awesome. The back seat space is great. Its a perfect car for a mom. Lots of power and smooth ride. Easy to handle.

I spend 6 hrs a day driving my Nox and I love it. Only one small issue fixed by my dealer immediately (clunking Lift gate support)-I am very happy with this car- I traded a few year old Grand Cherokee and for what I save in gas almost pays for my Nox

For price , quality and for its class, I feel the Chevy Equinox is the best vehicle on the market money can buy. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend the Equinox to anyone looking to buy a mid-sized SUV. The only issue with the vehicle is that with the price of gas today, mpg could be better but it is plenty of car for a car pool or average sized family.

The Equinox has great leg room for back seat passengers- my 3 kids fit just fine and will for some time. Also like that 2 of them fit along side a booster seat. Dont like that they got rid of the cargo shelf, would have liked to have one. Think that since the roof rails are standard the cross bars shoudl be as well- not a $150 add on. Overall though, I really like the car and how it drives.

  • Surprised and Pleased - 2006 Chevrolet Equinox

I purchased this SUV as a replacement for a rapidly declining/dead Olds. It has really surprised me how much I like it. It is great on the road, I see 22 mpg hwy and 16-18 city. The interior space is ample and very usable. I find it more usefull than my GMC long bed for many applications. This is the first car I have ever purchased that did not have any entries in the option side of the sticker. I have since added a trailer hitch and have been pleased with the towing performance with my sailboat. So far not one problem. Knock on wood!

Liked the Lexus RX300, this was the next best thing! Roomy, good pick up, adjustable rear seat for long legs, and great storage. Especially love the sunroof!!

Power is decent, rides well. The turning radius is large. Excellent room for larger passengers, especially the back seat. Unlike many other vehicles, my knees do not hit the dashboard or back of the seat. Interior is better designed than other GM products. Great overall value.
