Overview & Reviews
Part of a growing segment of plus-sized small crossover SUVs, the Chevrolet Equinox splits the difference between compact and midsize utility vehicles and offers roomy accommodations in a five-passenger layout. Like other vehicles in its class, the Equinox emphasizes style, amenities and day-to-day practicality over more traditional SUV attributes. In short, the Chevy Equinox is a fine choice for commuting to work or transporting pets, but it's not suited for towing, or anything more rugged than a gravel road.
Although the Equinox has always had a roomy interior and an easy-driving nature, the plain styling and low-quality interior materials in earlier models are none too impressive by today's standards. Later versions of this Chevrolet crossover have made big strides in quality and are available with more desirable features and engine choices.

Very Smart Car Purchase - 2010 Chevrolet Equinox
By Laura - February 3 - 3:00 amI did alot of research on SUVs for this size and price range. The 2010 Equinox, in my estimate stood at the head of the class. I have owned it for one and half months now, and I really, really like it. I finally got it out on the open road this past weekend and was amazed at the gas mileage I got, and the beautiful, and fun ride. I would recommend that anyone looking at this size or even the next size up to consider this vehicle if you are truly looking for the very best bang for you buck. I highly recommend the back up camera for safety reasons to all who purchase this vehicle which I did get. I also got the 8 way driver power seat and the communication package.

Best bang for the buck on the market; - 2011 Chevrolet Equinox
By Rob - February 2 - 10:00 amI am a bit of a car snob. Mostly had Acuras and Lexus. We were in need of a new crossover and I looked at them all. The Equinox was overwhelmingly the winner for interior quality, ride, power, gas mileage, comfort for the price. Just go drive it. You will be blown away.

Noise - 2006 Chevrolet Equinox
By Carla Jenkins - February 2 - 3:00 amThis car is a great car for me. My only problem is that on a short drive, less than 1/2 mile, there is a noise in the rear end after turning the car off. It sounds like when you hit a street sign with your hand. Apparently this is an intermittent problem.

By flexcuffs - January 31 - 12:40 pmThe Chevy Equinox has been an excellent SUV. Its a great ride, exterior is great, looks similar to the Lexus SUV. Knock on wood, no problems at all. Very roomy, great storage.

GM Finally Has Beaten The Imports - 2010 Chevrolet Equinox
By JimOfOakCreek - January 20 - 1:00 pmI recently bought an 2010 Equinox LS. I drove every import SUV/Crossover you can think of. None had the room, the gas mileage, the quiet interior or the styling of the 2010 Equinox. The RAV4 was too cramped in the drives seat. The CR-V is slightly more roomy but not nearly as good as the 2010 Nox. Neither was as quiet. The standard features and quality of materials are excellent on the Nox. Test drive one before you buy something else. The mileage is for real, 22.3MPG city and 31.8MPG highway.

Will it hold up? - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By Farfel - January 17 - 10:00 amOverall, a good experience, but wonder about build quality. Have purchased mostly foreign cars (Toyota, Honda) and wanted to go American this time. If they let me down, itll be my last. I know repairs have been a big part of the American auto profit picture, but who wants to hastle with that?
