Overview & Reviews
Part of a growing segment of plus-sized small crossover SUVs, the Chevrolet Equinox splits the difference between compact and midsize utility vehicles and offers roomy accommodations in a five-passenger layout. Like other vehicles in its class, the Equinox emphasizes style, amenities and day-to-day practicality over more traditional SUV attributes. In short, the Chevy Equinox is a fine choice for commuting to work or transporting pets, but it's not suited for towing, or anything more rugged than a gravel road.
Although the Equinox has always had a roomy interior and an easy-driving nature, the plain styling and low-quality interior materials in earlier models are none too impressive by today's standards. Later versions of this Chevrolet crossover have made big strides in quality and are available with more desirable features and engine choices.

Equinox Shock - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By Tina - August 22 - 2:43 amHard to get used to driving the Equinox. Large blind spot on drivers side, and gauging rear distances is hard. Lots of mechanical problems in the short period of time Ive owned it.

1st Chevy - 2006 Chevrolet Equinox
By Joanne - August 11 - 6:26 pmGreat SUV. After driving Jeep Grand Cherokee, didnt think another SUV could be as dependable. I was wrong... living in New England, this SUV has been wonderful. Smooth ride, recommend Equinox to anyone looking to purchase a SUV.

Not sure what i think about the Equinox! - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox
By Christine - August 8 - 12:20 pmI have had so many problems with the car and dealer. The gas mpg is not nearly what it says it is. The interior is nice but not for long rides driving. The back of the seat curves in so you have to slouch to drive. the cup holder in the arm rest is in the way to use the e-brake! The material on the steering wheel gets annoying after a little while. Very stylish get many compliments from people who never seen it before

2010 Equinox review - 2010 Chevrolet Equinox
By chad - July 25 - 10:03 amI have had the vehicle for over 2 months now. At first, I was a little disappointed with the gas mileage. I now have 4000 miles on it, drove it 400 miles on the interstate at between 65-75 mph and I actually got better than the 32 advertised mpg, I got 33.5. Granted, I did not have on the A/C and it was just my wife and daughter in it, not loaded down at all, but, for a vehicle this size, I LOVE it!!!

Cool Car! - 2006 Chevrolet Equinox
By rini65 - July 19 - 11:16 amI have had my Equinox for 6 months now, and love the car. It looks good, has great power, and lots of leg room in the rear seats, and the front. It also rides very nice, almost like a car. This SUV is perfect for my son and myself, not too large, but enough room to tote around lots of stuff. The gas mileage isnt great, but its better than my previous car, an Explorer. Its a great car all around.
