Model Overview:

Part of a growing segment of plus-sized small crossover SUVs, the Chevrolet Equinox splits the difference between compact and midsize utility vehicles and offers roomy accommodations in a five-passenger layout. Like other vehicles in its class, the Equinox emphasizes style, amenities and day-to-day practicality over more traditional SUV attributes. In short, the Chevy Equinox is a fine choice for commuting to work or transporting pets, but it's not suited for towing, or anything more rugged than a gravel road.

Although the Equinox has always had a roomy interior and an easy-driving nature, the plain styling and low-quality interior materials in earlier models are none too impressive by today's standards. Later versions of this Chevrolet crossover have made big strides in quality and are available with more desirable features and engine choices.

This Suv is a really good ride. Its not to small and not to big. I wanted a SUV that I could easily manipulate like I did with my previous car.

Have an extremely bad back. This vehicle fits me quite well without any added cushions, etc. Am very pleased with whole automobile, looks, driving comfort, performance, etc. My husband and I both enjoy the auto. Has been a pleasing experience to have other adults travel with us as the back seat rides great and the room provided in all seats is wonderful. We are basically a family of long legged person. Thanks for a great automobile!

  • First SUV I bought looks like the best! - 2018 Chevrolet Equinox

Today is my one week anniversary and I couldnt be happier. I have the 2.0T LT trim with a sunroof. The car is roomy, accelerates very well, seems open with good viability and has decent handling for an SUV. I came from a Chevrolet Volt which I loved for years but wanted something with a bigger back seat and cargo area, so I bit the bullet and went back to an ICE. I test drove all the usual suspects (CRV, Rav4, Forester, etc.) and found the Equinoxs new styling much more appealing. What sold it for me was the 2.0T with the 9-speed auto. What a combo! VERY smooth shifting going up and down the power distribution and the acceleration was a thrill. Never thought an SUV would do 0-60 in less than 7 seconds. The icing on the cake was the awesome panoramic sunroof. It really opens up the cabin for front and back seat passengers. Shout out to Phil Smith Chevrolet in Fort Lauderdale, FL. They were great to work with, very patient and gave me an awesome deal.

I thought long about what kind of car I wanted after having an accident and had to purchase a new one. At first I wanted to look at the Equinox mainly because of the style, but after driving it, I was hooked. Handles great, 5 star crash test ratings, roomy, nice interior, lots of standard features, & not too thirsty at the pump. Im more than happy with my choice. I think its a great car

I stalked this car for months, and after a 10 week order wait time, received the car about a week ago. I could not be happier with the Equinox. It completely has lived up to the hype during this first week. I even look forward to my commute now!

Have Equinox for several weeks, plenty of room for seating five. Pickup is good and handles excellent in the snow. Exterior looks got me in, pricing and room sold me. The mileage on the sticker needs to be recalculated, I am averaging 15 mpg. Dont lie about this data, comsumers will pick up on this

  • A Womans SUV Dream - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox

I always wanted an SUV. One not too high to get into, or to big to park. And along came the Equinox. I had a Tracker, but that was just a starter of a SUV. I think I bought the first one in Syracuse, NY. If GMAC were to check their records Im sure they could verify that. It is rated as an SUV but it rides almost like a Cadillac, smooth as pie. If I had more time to purchase my vehicle, I would have gotten a sun roof and a black one. But due to the rush of purchase I had to get one off the lot. Nevertheless, I still love it.

We wanted more room (baby) but didnt want poor gas mileage or sticker shock. Great value for the price. I dont believe the epa city mileage, but I drive mostly highway and am averaging 26+ overall. Finally a vehicle with enough leg and head room (Im only 61"). The sliding rear seat is awesome. Love the look of this crossover and the mocha steel is a great color. Overall a pleasure to drive!

  • Great little SUV - 2006 Chevrolet Equinox

I love my new SUV. I test drove about 7 of the new SUVs that fell in the same size catagory. The selling point for me was the room in the back seat (made available because of the ability to move the seat back.) and I love the space in the center front that is low and almost hidden to put my purse when driving. There is loads of room inside with the backseat up and lots of additional room with both of the seats laid forward. The SUV has a very smooth ride and all of the dials on the dash are within easy reach. I would recomend the purchase of the vehicle to anyone who likes the thought of being raised up off the ground but still have the small size that makes parking a breeze.
