This Year's Model Updates:

The Cobalt is a replacement for the aged Cavalier and like its predecessor it's available in both coupe and sedan body styles.

Pros:
  • Smooth ride and sporty handling, torquey four-cylinder engine, premium content for basic-car price.
Cons:
  • A few cheap plastic interior parts, odd exterior styling details.

Ive driven some pretty awful cars, so I would have been happy with a well constructed cardboard box with a transmission. I would have liked an expensive V6, but the wallet didnt seem to agree with me. To my surprise though, this cars quality is way more than what I had anticipated for the price I paid. The design, overall power, drive quality, and value are exceptional. The coupe has a few blind spots in the back and my model doesnt have power windows (But is an LS...I dont have any clue how that happened...)

My 16 year old daughters first car. She tells me its the best car she has tried out so far, its cool looking, stylish, and fits her well in terms of view to the road. (which to me is important as she has just received her license )

  • Cant get enough! - 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt

I purchased my Colbalt right before the GM employee discount came out. At first I was bummed that I paid a higher price, but after owning and driving it for almost 3 months, I couldnt care less! It gets up and goes, hugs those tight curves and is easy on gas. The roomy interior is one of the pluses, but if you need backseat room, youre out. Being a two door car, the doors dont seem to swing really wide like others do. Ive had numerous comments on how it looks. I know the engine can go, my husband just got a ticket in it the other day, pushing 90 and he said it handled just as well as it does at 30. This car handles open, curvy, hilly and traffic clogged roads all equally well.

I just got my Cobalt last month, but I love driving it already!! It handles well for a car of its size and has lots of zip. I couldnt be more pleased with it so far.

  • Chevy Cobalt A Winner - 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt

This car has features that that were previously found in more expensive vehicles, i.e., electronic steering, digital readouts on the dash (fuel economy, outside temperature, etc.) Its a fun car to drive and gets a lot of looks. I drive 90 miles to work and back each day through stop and go traffic and still get 28mpg. I think GM did their homework on this one and I think they have a winner on their hands.

We purchased a new Cobalt after looking around at so many so called economy cars. After test driving the Cobalt My wife and I were sold! The Colbalt looks fantastic with a pleasing stylish exterior and an interior unique with people friendly styling and comfort! We are very proud of our new Chevy Cobalt! It drives and handles like a dream super quiet road smooth ride with an upper class ride without forsaking economy! Please drive a Cobalt before making any decisions on any import before you buy!

I have owned my Cobalt for over a month and it has been exceptional in fuel economy, its fun to drive and handles well. The engine impressed me with its quickness. It doesnt have a lot of road noise and the ride is nice for a small car. Its a great step up from the Cavalier, that basically a disposable car. The frame and body on this car is built more solidly, and the styling is nice, especially the rear end style. Nice that it has 15 inch wheels on a small car. Just a real fun and nice car to drive.

  • Cute Car, Decent Price - 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt

I had an 01Ranger Edge.. it consumed SO much gas, and with these prices it was killing me. I looked into the Colbalt and after a long decision made good, I decided to get the car. It drives very smooth and its an awesome car to take out on the interstate for a long drive. The amount gas that it consumes is great as well. The pick-up speed is decent considering it has a small engine. If youre wanting a nice compact car for a decent price, try out the Colbalt!

  • More driving more fun. - 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt

I have never driven a car that has ever been so much fun except for my classical 1962 Pontiac Tempest wagon. I love my car and I love to drive it. My girlfreind loves to drive it. She loves the power. I love the fact that it acts like a sporty race car. The car keeps accelerating when you push on the gas and it out performs any Ford, Toyota, BMW, and Honda that I have ever driven or riden in. The car is worth well over the price of the car.
