This Year's Model Updates:

The Cavalier gets a refresh this year that adds new front and rear fascias, revised headlights and taillights, redesigned ground effects, body-colored mirrors and door handles and a new hood. LS Sport models also get integrated foglights and new rocker moldings. The 2.2-liter Ecotec four-cylinder is now the only engine offered, as the Z24 model has been dropped from the lineup. Base model Cavs no longer come with standard ABS brakes, but it remains an available option. Inside, the Cavalier now features a center rear three-point seatbelt, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift lever, a rear 60/40-split bench seat, new child-seat anchors and optional side airbags. Finally, you can get XM Satellite Radio on all cars, and LS and LS Sport trims are available with the OnStar communications system.

Pros:
  • Low price, torquey four-cylinder engine, optional satellite radio and OnStar.
Cons:
  • Ancient design inside and out, cheap interior materials, poor build quality, low resale value, poor side-impact and front-offset crash test results.

  • An awesome car at a bargain price - 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier
    By -

This is my third Cavalier. Also owned a 1988 and 2000 Cavalier. I bought this car fully loaded planning to keep it for a long time. Well losing my job forced me to take a job 107 miles away from home. So my daily commute totals 214 miles. At 88,000 miles I just replaced the fuel pump. Im still on my first brakes and tires, even though both probably need to be replaced soon. This car has fantastic low-end torque. You can get yourself in trouble in no time at all, blowing away everything in its class and then some. Considering the cost, this car is a total steal and you can tons of after- market parts to make a look a billion bucks, for less than $20,000 overall cost.

  • Highly recommend the Chevy Cavalier - 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier

I owned a Ford Taurus, which was one of my most favorite cars. Three years ago I was run over by a tractor trailer and my car was totaled. Since that time I havent been able to find another vehicle that I really like and Ive had a few. That is until I purchased my Chevy Cavalier. For a little car it rides so smooth and handles real nice. I also love the way it looks. This car has really good pick up and you dont have to worry about getting left behind. This car is one of my favorites.

  • The Z24 is great! - 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier

Just got a 2003 Z24 after two other Cavalier coupes. Love it! These things are so reliable, and the Z24 is fun to drive. Enhanced stereo system is great. Ive always been a "no power anything" person, but the sunroof, windows and locks are changing my mind. This is a good car for the money.

  • Great for Price - 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier

Ive had very few issues with this car. It looks nice, holds its value and runs well. I have the 5 speed manual and it has a lot of pep for a 4- cylinder engine.

  • Just Plain Great! - 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier

I have read other reviews about this car and it boogles my mind how people could dislike this car. I bought it with 6000 miles on it and havnt had a problem yet! I love everything about the cavalier, and am very dissapointed that 2004 was the last year for them. But i can gurentee I will always buy a chevy!

  • Best car for the price - 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier

An excellent car for the price you pay for it. It has great handling, always reliable and stylish. Ive owned two cavaliers and neither ever gave me any mechanical trouble.

  • my first new car - 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier

This is my first new car. It has great gas mileage and plenty of cargo space for when I go to college or to drill. It also has the torque that all chevys have to blow away those imports.

  • I love my car! - 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier

I just bought this car about a month ago and Ive had no problems with it at all. It gets up to speed real quick and it handles real good. I bought it almost new so the tires were still good and the interior is beautiful. The only thing Ive done is put better speakers in the back.

  • Simply awsome - 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier

at first i wanted to get the 2002 cavalier model that was out but i waited longer and when the 2003 came out i loved the new body style and went to check it out and drive one and now i own it. I love it!! My first new car and i have no intentions of selling either. It is also my 3rd cavalier after owning a 1991 and 1994 model which were very nice as well but only base models and were very good on gas as the new one has already proven.
