ABS is standard, and base engines are bumped 15 horsepower to 110. RS and Z24 convertibles are back after two-year hiatus. Automatic door locks are added. VL and RS models get new wheelcovers. Z24 trades performance tires for touring.

Two words: peel out - 1992 Chevrolet Cavalier
By Fwapadalaplap - November 8 - 2:00 amPeople laughed when I staged in my 1992 Z24, but it was a real blast to totally beat them off the line. I purchased it used from an uncle, who never had any problems with it and performed all regular maintenance himself. This car is fun to ride, and its like my miniature sports car... Ill keep dreaming. Its great on the highways (no problems merging or passing, around 27MPG) and idles nice in traffic. The engine sound is a great bonus you dont expect it from this little car.

92 cavalier - 1992 Chevrolet Cavalier
By Trisor - October 17 - 2:00 amIve put 175K on my 92 cavalier...before selling it to my sister last week. I got 37 MPG city/highway combined. I changed the oil every 4K, replaced the plugs only once at about 100K, and air filter every now and then. And never had any problems. Never had to replace clutch, brakes, anything. No timing belt to replace...has chain. I did have to replace the head gasket at about 75K. Was very reliable.

By jbert - February 26 - 12:24 pmThis is the third Cavalier in the family and all have been reliable, even into their older age. It sure isnt fancy -- lots of cheap plastic -- but its kept on running w/ basic maintenance for 10 years and 100K miles.

Great Sporty Car with Lots of Power - 1992 Chevrolet Cavalier
By Elizabeth - February 13 - 7:53 amThis is a great sporty car with lots of power. I really loved driving it for a long time. Unfortunately, once it started have severe mechanical problems (about 2 years ago) it started going downhill fast.
