This Year's Model Updates:

Not much. An upgraded stereo with a CD and MP3 player is now available on the base coupe and sedan. The Sport Appearance package that includes 16-inch wheels, a rear spoiler and sport suspension is also available on the base coupe and sedan.

Pros:
  • Low price, torquey four-cylinder engine, optional satellite radio and OnStar.
Cons:
  • Ancient design inside and out, cheap interior materials, poor build quality, low resale value, poor side-impact and front-offset crash test results.

Ive only been driving my new cavalier 3 days but already I can feel the reliability that I had with my first one. My first cav was a 1997 LS sedan which ran and ran and ran. It broke my heart to trade it in but after 7 years, I felt she had served me well. Never had to fix anything on her except the battery and I had her serviced every 3 months, so what does that tell you.

We went to the dealership to buy an Impala, and drove the cavaoier and loved it. We also own a 1997 cavalier. Great car, great car, and Don Ringler is a great Dealership to do bussiness with.

Before purchasing this car I test drove a number of other cars: Ford Focus, Honda Civic, Dodge Neon, Nissan Sentra, Toyota Echo, and Toyota Corrolla. I liked each of these cars, but as soon as I drove the Chevy Cavalier I knew it was my favorite. I love the sunroof, and the exterior, in my own words, is very cute. I havent driven it long enough to be able to review its reliability, but in comparison with the other cars I think it has the best look and interior comfort. It also has good visibility, which I was having a hard time finding as I was updating from a 1993 car that has great visibility.

I love my car its great, it suits me in every need. The car is the perfest size, it has a nice sound system and the interior build is unique and cozy. The Cavalier is a wonderful car and i would recommend it to any individual who has a small family and is looking for a vehicle with low maintenance cost.

Ive only had it for 1 month, but weve already put 2000 miles on it. Its really not bad on gas considering all the running we do. I got a 5 speed, and its really easy to drive. Im very happy with it so far.

This car was a great bargin. The 2.2 Ecotech engine is peppy, and has a lot of torque. The steering is tight, and front bucket seats sculpt to your body. The only negotive is that the insulation underneath the car could be better. I can hear the gas in my tank sloshing around when I turn corners. I have never heard that in other vehicles. That being said, for the price I paid, this car is wonderful. This is my first GM product, and probably wont be the last.

I actually volunteer to drive on roadtrips wiht this car. Its fun to drive and with the rising gas prices, it is very efficient.
