Overview & Reviews
The aging Blazer platform is due for a comprehensive redesign for 2002. As such, Blazer buyers this year will have to make do with slap-dash add-ons such as standard OnStar on the LT and TrailBlazer models. Xtreme, a new trim level on the two-door, two-wheel-drive model which includes a low-riding sport suspension lowered by 2.5 inches, body cladding and special wheels, is now available.
- Wide range of features and options, competent drivetrain.
- Spotty build quality, cheesy interior parts, uncomfortable rear seats, no V8 option.

Blazer is on fire! - 2001 Chevrolet Blazer
By Garth36 - April 4 - 2:00 amI have had my Blazer ZR-2 for 2 years. It performs extrememly well and I love driving it! I have been through some rough weather, travel extensively and have never had a problem with the car itself. The tire on the back takes a little getting used to. The seats are comfortable and when the back seats fold down, the cargo space comes in handy! I would recommend this car to anyone interested in buying it.

LUVV IT!! - 2001 Chevrolet Blazer
By Aprill - February 6 - 2:00 amIm really happy with my Blazer. It has the kick I need for my style of driving. If it werent for the bad dude that through out a glass bottle and put a crack in my windshield, it would still be in perfect condition. Everything else is great with this vehicle!

I think the user-name says it all - 2001 Chevrolet Blazer
By FormerBlazerOwner - February 5 - 2:00 amDisappointed. You cannot put a child seat in the middle seating position. The seatbelt width is so narrow, no one can actually use it safely. We have had 3 multifunction switches replaced and it has been in numerous times for the check engine light, the first time being when it had 600 miles on it. After several trips to the dealer, stripped wires were found in the engine. The 4 wheel drive also decided not to work during a snow storm while we were in the mountains and without the 4WD, this is just a very large sled.

Stay Away from the Blazer - 2001 Chevrolet Blazer
By Rennie - December 28 - 2:00 amI have had nothing but troubles with my Chevy Blazer LT 4WD. The truck has been to the dealership so many times I should have my own parking space. Be prepared for engine leaks, transmission leaks, coolant leaks, transfer case leaks, and on and on. I have replaced 6 air pumps in the emmissions system, and my Chev dealer cannot find the problem. Fuel economy is an average of 16 mpg. The only positive is that GM offered me a $1000 manufactures rebate off the next GM vehicle I buy, because of the endless problems. Do your homework, this is not the vehicle for you. 2 years in with 100k miles.

XTREME TRUCKIN WAY TO GO! - 2001 Chevrolet Blazer
By MFMISFITS - June 10 - 2:00 amI am like any 20 year old kid. I want something that has the look and also responds when you step on the gas. I needed something that could get out of its own way. This was the truck I wanted. i just didnt want the 4 door. (not cool to have a 4 door at 20) So when the xtreme came out i was thrilled. I saved up as much money as i could and bought one. It is the best investment that i have made so far.

Will keep buying - 2001 Chevrolet Blazer
By Blazerbuyer - March 17 - 7:02 pmI just purchased a 2001 2DR Blazer. I previously had a 1997 4dr. I purchased the last one new, and put 90,000 miles on it. I brought it into the shop once for ball joints- thats it (other than routine maintenance ie: brakes, oil). The new one has been in the shop for vibration in the front end and a blown oil cooling pump. The vehicle rides beautiful and is living up to my expectations of a new Blazer- hopefully this is the end of the repairs. Will keep on buying Blazers/ Trailblazers for years to come.
