Overview & Reviews
Base models are dropped. The engine, exhaust and ABS are refined for increased durability, and exterior trim on some models is modified. Two new colors are available.
- Still-handsome styling, wide range of features and options, competent drivetrain.
- Spotty build quality, cheesy interior parts, uncomfortable rear seats, no V8 option.

Great Ride! - 2000 Chevrolet Blazer
By dcsevigne - May 28 - 10:00 amIve had my Trailblazer for 2 years now and put 20K miles on it. The ride has always been superior even to the Lexus RX300 that I left at the dealer. I guess the sport suspension is a must! So far Ive had the battery replaced and a rear pinion seal replaced under warranty. Good vehicle for the price $25K new.

I love my Blazer - 2000 Chevrolet Blazer
By paulahall - March 14 - 4:24 pmI love this SUV. I have had my Blazer for 4 years. I bought it when it had 70000 miles and now it has 141000. Just replaced heater coil @ 138000. Rotors @ 137000 and brakes. It sounds like it might have a rod knocking but only when it is really cold then the noise quits. Drives greats lots of power for a 6 cylinder. The interior is still in good shape. None of the seat problems other had talked about. Love that the back seats fold down and the tinted windows. I hope it keeps running to 300000 miles. Heater core only costs $65 but I installed it myself. Have to remove the entire dash to get to it and its a pain to put back in, but I love the heat it puts out.

Im loving my 1st SUV - 2000 Chevrolet Blazer
By rich prestia - December 27 - 3:55 pmThis is my 1st. SUV and Im 45 yrs old! I initially set out to buy a Jeep Cherokee Sport. But after trying one out it was too small (interior wise) for me, Im 63". Then when car shopping in Brooklyn...I saw her. I immediately bought her. I wound up with a wonderful, dependable truck! Ive set it up with synthetic oil and put Lucas gas treatment in every tank and this baby is great!

2000 Blazer 4WD LT - 2000 Chevrolet Blazer
By rmartelo - October 20 - 10:00 amThe Blazer has been much like a car in its ability to fit into spaces and acts like a truck. It has 51,000 miles and never to the shop except for warranty work or recall. Mileage is 20MPG, original tires and brakes with very much life yet. 1st American car for a decade and plesantly suprised of its performance.

Loved the Blazer - just traded - 2000 Chevrolet Blazer
By Lynda - July 1 - 1:32 pmI just traded mine it had 115,000 on it. It never left me stranded any place! General maintenance only - batteries, (Texas is hard on batteries) oil, transmission fluid and new tires. Only thing I did not like was that the belt squeaked all the time. Interior was extremely comfortable, air / heat worked great always! Visibility great as well. I was ready for something different after nine years only reason to trade. This one will go 200K no question.

Love my Blazer - 2000 Chevrolet Blazer
By swanithan - October 1 - 6:21 pmThis is my second SUV and I love this one. I owned a 96 Explorer before my Blazer. I wish my Blazer was the same size as the Explorer. I also wish my Blazer had rear air like the Explorer did. I love the 4.3L V6! Tons of power and revs almost to redline. Ive never wished for more power. The dash color is not very pretty and I dont like the hump in the passenger foot well for the transfer case. Not alot of rear legroom behind me, Im 6ft tall. Love everything else about the inside of my Blazer. Adore the heated seats and the seat memory feature. Only problem I had was the heater core went out, it was replaced under warranty. Gas mileage is fine, I didnt buy it for the mileage. Great 4X4!

Always have good luck with the Blazer - 2000 Chevrolet Blazer
By bmdwags - August 14 - 10:00 amWe have leased 2 Blazers...and we have been happy with them both. Comfortable and easy to drive. Rear doors swing open wide enough to get kids in and out of car seats. Plenty of space in the back for family trips with lots of luggage and the dogs.

Only Americants for me - 2000 Chevrolet Blazer
By My Country, My Truck - March 3 - 11:17 am90,000 miles and still going strong. Blazer has some competion though, my 86 S-10 is still going at 175,000 miles. I wanted a full size truck but will be happy hauling the family, plowing through the snow and pulling the camper with this little powerhouse ... for now. Of course gas mileage isnt as good as my Cavalier. Its a truck. Even if I could get 50 mpg I sure I would want 51. Fuel pump went out, 1 rear speaker and passenger seat lever went out. All three under warranty. Nice to see GM has increased warranty to 5 years/100,000 miles. Must be pretty confidant.

Love it - 2000 Chevrolet Blazer
By loonytoony - January 31 - 2:00 amI have had no problems at all. I guess regular check ups help. Even get free oil changes since I bring it in regular.
