  • Buyers Beware - Poor Quality, lost value - 2002 Chevrolet Blazer

This is my first and LAST Chevy purchase. I paid $21K and three years later I cant even get $7K, when comparable vehicles are going for $14K. First week I had it the vehicle leaked. A bad leak. I should have known then. Since then its been one thing after another, sure warranty covered them for a while. Then my extended warranty kicked in, but the $100 deductable has cost me over $400 this year alone. Leaks, serpentine belts (3 in 3 years), passenger and driver window motors, windshield wiper gadgets gone bad, and more. Poor design, extremely mind-bending trade in values so low that I cannot believe it. The 2-door allows poor access to back, and the big fat spare tire is hard to see around

  • What a Lemon! - 2002 Chevrolet Blazer

This 2002 Chevrolet Blazer is my second Chevrolet vehicle, and the LAST Chevrolet i will ever buy. I had many problems with my 1st Chevrolet (a 2000 Camaro) and even more with the Blazer. Tons of electrical problems, headlights continue shorting out, door locks, power mirrors, and power windows short out. Windows squeak and rattle when going up and down. Windshield wiper module has shorted out three times, Transmission is slipping at 58000 miles, and dealer can never figure out the problem, so the electronics keep shorting out. I hope people considering purchasing a Chevrolet read this and buy something else.

  • Piece of junk - 2002 Chevrolet Blazer

I had purchased my Blazer ZR2 in March of 2002. I have had nothing but problems since. I have a slipping transmission, poor gas mileage 7-10 MPG doesnt matter city or highway. I most recently an electrical problem that cant seem to be found. Ive brought the blazer back to the dealership and they tell me there is nothing they can do if no codes are coming up. What happened to the good ol mechanic? I would never buy another chevrolet again after the problems that I have experienced with GM and their products.

  • Buyer Beware - 2002 Chevrolet Blazer

Please spare yourself the headache by not buying this piece of junk. Mine was in the shop six times in six months and the last couple of times was because they had to replace the gas tank because it was cracked. The dealer and Chevrolet could not have been more disinterested in my problems. I asked both what if this happened and the car blew up, they said did not deal in What ifs! It was so bad that I traded and lost a bundle just six months after I purchased it because I was so scared of it.

Being the recent (7 month) owner of a blazer, I feel that it was the biggest mistake I made. It has poor design, flimsy interior, and more noises and rattles that my 94 car that I traded in for it. I really dislike the car, and cant wait to get rid of it.
