I am a "Car Guy"/long time 1/4 mile drag racer so hopefully this review wont be too technical for the average reader. After months of searching I located and purchased my 95 FWB with less than 70K miles from its 93 year-old original owner who resides in So Cal. My search was specific, as I know how to read GM option stickers (located under the trunk lid) and interpret RPO option codes. In this case I was looking for Option Code V4P, which this car had and I will discuss in the next section. The car is roomy, comfortable, and an attention-getter. I had owned the car just two hours, and I received multiple compliments. Having owned LT1 cars in the past I know they are dead reliable.

I loved this car!!!! Had 135k miles when I bought it and 243k when I hit the dear. I am very thankful I was in my cad and not my wifes low hood tinny metal car. I love the ride and had up to 28mpg on highway after chainging the front calipurs, they were hanging up robbing my milage. I love driving in the snow and this car was GREAT for that, with good traction. Im going to miss her. Now looking for an other caddy to replace my baby! Im not sure about changing body styles though but looks like I have no choice if I get a newer model.

I LOVE this car. Had one other and an Impala SS and Buick Roadmaster Wagon (same b-body platform). Detuned LT1 (0-60 in 8.5 secs) is easy on gas (18/20 city and 22/24 highway)and very reliable. Truthfully, the car will fall apart around the engine and transmission. Some designed-in ergonomic/interior fascia flaws but with bone yards ripe with these cars youve got plenty of cheap replacement parts at the ready. If youre looking for a reliable floaty boaty car, this it it. Tomorrows collector car, for sure. But then again, how popular are 55 Cadillacs today?

This car is very comfortable to drive and has excellent acceleration and handling abilities. It is very passenger friendly, roomy, and safe feeling. Its fuel economy is terrible, and premium fuel is absolutely required, but this is not an economy car so some trade-offs are expected. Its frequency of repairs is about average, but some parts are very expensive, excessively so, I think. Overall, this car provides a pleasant driving and owning experience.

The late Cadillac Fleetwood is the finest highway cruiser ever built. Weve taken it on numerous long trips of 500 miles or more and its always smooth & quiet. The sound system, while not a Bose system as in other Cadillacs it quite powerful. Its rear seat room is unsuprassed. The front leg room is not quite as good, as other large FWD cars, like the Buick Park Avenue. Its solidly built and can last many years if taken care of. The fact that its RWD makes it easy to do some maintenance / repairs on myself. It is an impressive looking vehicle with its size and ample bright metal trim. This was the model for the Presidential limo from 1995-2000.

  • Still a great old car - 1991 Cadillac Fleetwood

These front-wheel-drive Fleetwoods are great cars. I bought mine used four years ago and it now shows 178,000 miles on the odometer, with another 100,000 to go without question. Its comfortable, reasonably good on gas (around 21 mpg combined city/highway) and because its front- wheel-drive it is great in the winter. If youre shopping for one in the rust- belt, be sure to look closely for hidden rust a common problem on these (in the trunk, lift up the carpet covering the wheel housing, under the hood, look to the inner fender area with a flashlight). They are going cheap lately and are a decent "grocery- getter." One can be had for around $1,000 (dont let high mileage scare you off...Ive seen them with 300,000 miles on them)

  • Excellent Purchase - 1995 Cadillac Fleetwood

Im very happy with my 1995 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham. Its VERY big - in and out. The interior is VERY comfortable with plenty of room - and pretty quiet inside. Its very soft over bumps but handles surprisingly well. Even though the price of gas is going through the roof, I cant say Id rather be in anything else. I love big, plush, roomy, luxurious cars. The only car I feel compares to this is the Lexus LS - which costs about $50,000 more at this point.

I am a Canadian who purchased this in the States. Should know in advance that upgrading to Canadian standards will cost you a few thousand. Plus time. Do everything in advance.

  • Its Big and It"s Fast - 1994 Cadillac Fleetwood

  • Maybe not perfect, but something special - 1992 Cadillac Fleetwood
    By -

This is the first Cadillac Ive owned, but Ive had the opportunity to drive several. I love this car, it has class and smart lines at the same time. Mine has a few problems to fix, like the ABS control module and computer ride, but the performance of the V8 is outstanding and even with shocks that need replacing it rides great. The Bose Gold CD system is great except I have one rear speaker that is bad. The handling of this large car is outstanding for its size.
