I love my car! - 2005 Cadillac Deville
By Phillip - November 1 - 2:00 amBought our 2005 DTS in 2008 with only 35000 miles. Certified Used. We love this car, big, comfortable, and good gas mileage for a tank of this size (around 26 on the highway and 19 in the city) DTS has the tighter suspension and is very agile and doesnt feel like my grandmothers "floating" DeVille. Im a tall guy at 6ft1in and it gives me plenty of room while doing the same for the rear seat passengers. Has every option and gadget and I love it. Our next Car will be a DTS!

Snowplow Caddy - 1999 Cadillac Deville
By Caino - October 25 - 2:00 amI drive 80 miles round trip daily to work. I live in northern Maine, 2 hours north of Bangor, me. Ive had to plow my way out of my driveway, and out of 2 other roads (2 miles) before I got to main road, at 3:30am. Sometimes i had to plow the main road for miles before it was plowed going through 1 to 2 ft. Drifts. That car never faltered once! I driven through countless blizzards! That car is the most reliable car Ive ever driven. The front wheel drive along with the heavy v8 northstar engine gave the car unbelievable traction. I never worried about being stuck in snow or heavy slush. It was safe consistent and dependable. If I hit a moose it would land on the hood and not on me. Car is bigger than moose!

Comfortable and easy-going - 1991 Cadillac Deville
By Haley - October 16 - 2:00 ami bought my DeVille from a private seller on October 15, 2010. I am 20 years old and needed a car to get me by from point A to point B. The DeVille did better than that. I am very fortunate to have found a comfortable car and one that is fuel efficient. All my friends are amazed at how smooth it runs and steers. I am very satisfied!

Major Repair Experience - 1996 Cadillac Deville
By Jim - August 29 - 3:38 pmI bought with about 58k miles. Very good ride and fuel mileage strong and plenty of power. Seemed the perfect car until 68k miles. Between 68k miles and 72k miles replaced transmission, air struts, and fuel injection pump. I rated down the reliability due to the mechanical failures, but now repaired, I am back to trusting its dependability. The problems were caught before breaking down on the road. Transmission metal and seal fragments were found on filter and oil change struts were flat and wearing rear tires severely and unevenly, and fuel injection was causing erratic and surging RPM, and a couple stalls.

Still a great car - 2002 Cadillac Deville
By Jerry K. - August 25 - 6:32 pmWe bought our 02 Deville for my wife to replace her Chrysler 300M. It was bought used with 24K miles and we now have 94K on it. We have had all four bearings/hubs replaced, rear shocks, pass. window switch, one tie rod end and the pwr. strg. hose has a slight leak. Otherwise, it has been an excellent drive, smooth but have had the slight front end vibration above 60 MPH as commented by others. Four new Yokohama tires virtually eliminated it. Some of the dash switch lights have gone out but due to the permanent bulb design in the circuit boards, the bulbs simply cannot be replaced without a soldering iron. Engine/transmission are flawless. It uses a qt. of oil every 2000 miles.

Leaky leaky - 2002 Cadillac Deville
By unhappycamper - August 19 - 3:58 pmThis is a great riding car and a looker, too. BUT: last year at 73000 miles I had to get oil pan gaskets replaced - $1300. Last month at 83,000 miles, the northstar has a leaky head gasket. Thatll be another $1400 plus. Sad that such an expensive car develops problems so soon. Ive driven Buick lesabres passed 160,000 miles with no such problems. This is my LAST Caddy.

My Dream Car became my Nightmare Car! - 1992 Cadillac Deville
By Ruthie - August 6 - 10:10 pmI thought I was going to enjoy this Cadillac it has been a pain since I bought it. Paid $6000.00 cash, I have had to spend over $4000.00 for parts that normally dont go out on cars. 3 gas tanks, fuel pump, harmonic balancer, serpentine belt, new tires, new brakes and now brake booster going out after 1 month of having new brakes put on. I wish I had turned my head when I saw this one, I will never ever buy a Cadillac again. It looks great but it has to many major things wrong with it. I am really sadden with my Cadillac and very disappointed with it.

Mostly Happy - 2004 Cadillac Deville
By cadillac man - July 27 - 11:21 amRide comfort is a primary concern to me, at 63" and about 265lbs. Rides very quiet handles well. Reoccurring problems have been the power steering, and 3 of the 4 window regulators.

Okay - 2002 Cadillac Deville
By Keith - July 25 - 8:33 amIt is quite a machine, motor wise. The motor drinks oil but other than that it has never left me stranded. I have one that also shakes at over 60, and when you brake it shakes. I have driven it across the U.S a few time, once non-stop except gas for 34 hours. I drive it in Europe right now. It is slow next to the cars over here, but its rare over here. Ive saw one. The one place the dash going from English to metric actually helps.

Whos your Caddy? - 1999 Cadillac Deville
By Richsap - July 19 - 9:47 pmThis is the 3rd pre-owned Cadillac Ive had the pleasure to purchase, and they just keep getting better. I traded up from a 95 Concours to a 99 DeVille and now to a 99 Concours. As with most vehicles, the older the car the more likely issues come up, and Cadillacs are no exception. The 95 was on the verge of becoming unreliable, which I attribute to a faulty fuel injector and a starter that had an intermittent issue and would on occasion not function. The 99 Deville was (is) a beauty, until it got hit by an idiot running a red light and totaled by the insurance company. I used the funds to purchase the 99 Concours, and after replacing a malfunctioning alternator it runs & drives like new
